Our latest home project!

DH and I have put down Pergo laminate floors in our living room and dining room. We did it ourselves!!! We are becoming so handy! But we are in no way done yet! We have to add the moldings, buy furniture (we bought the dining room set and picked out most of the living room set), finish the mantel to the fireplace, and some other things too. I thought I'd share some photos:

Then we picked up the Pepto Pink carpet to get to the subflooring:

And finally the Pergo went down (DH and cousin starting the moldings):

beautiful and they are easy to clean! we put down laminate too, the wilsonart but not ourselves!

Thanks for all your kind words! We are so proud of ourselves! DH and I were joking around that we should hire ourselves out! The Pergo wasn't too hard to do. The only difficult parts was drilling a track for some T-molding into the subfloor and some of the tricky cuts of the boards (like around doorways). We didn't pull the mirrors down ourselves. They were siliconed on to the wall and all of our attempts were unsuccessful. We had a World of Mirror and Glass take them down in the dining room and the ones the bedroom too. The old lady the used to own it had everything pink and mirrored!
