Out with the old...

I just ended a friendship with someone I have been tight with since I was about 16. Literally ended it over the phone at work.

There's a lot that led to it, much too much to type here.

It was my decision.

It's still got me a little down. I guess that's normal...I had ended a friendship last year with someone (also my decision) and initially it was like 'dang, that was bad...' but then I realized that for my own sake and my own sanity, it was for the best.

been there, done that.
it sucks at first, but in the long run, its usually worth it.

there's a reason for it. DH and I look back and are happy with the decision we made to cut certain people out of our lives. they were holding us back and causing more drama than necessary.

It's tough but in the end, I'm sure you made the right decision. I've ended a few friendships (although mostly with the ignore them approach because I'm a baby)...its hard. One of the friendship I ended we had been friends since we were 14.
