Owen Wilson Rushed To Hospital After Suicide Attempt

Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Reports are circulating that Owen Wilson has attempted to commit suicide.
The usually happy-go-lucky actor was reportedly found in his home by a family member with slit wrists and medication bottles.
Wilson, known for his comic genius in films such as 'Zoolander' and 'You, Me and Dupree', was then taken to hospital and treated.
But the National Enquirer magazine and TMZ broke the story, claiming that Wilson attempted to end it all over the weekend.
National Enquirer editor-in-chief David Perel confirmed to Perezhilton.com, 'Owen Wilson has now been transferred from St. John's to another Los Angeles area hospital. His brothers Andrew and Luke are with him. Andrew found him after the suicide attempt and called an ambulance. Both of Owen's wrists were slashed superficially and Owen had taken an overdose of pills. Owen was found with a nearly empty bottle of pills next to him. He was at his house in Santa Monica.'
The actor, who recently broke up with actress Kate Hudson, was taken to hospital in an ambulance after a 911 call.
TMZ have been talking to the Santa Monica Police Department about the incident.
A spokesperson said, 'On Sunday Aug. 26. 2007 at 12.10pm officers from the Santa Monica Police Department responded to a medical assistance call from the Santa Monica Fire Department at the 900 block of 23rd Street. The person was transported to a local hospital where they are being treated.'
Wilson, famous for his happy and light-hearted persona, is rarely linked to the darker side of Hollywood - which is littered with stars such as Lindsay Lohan who are struggling with addiction.
