1st-- for anyone who hasn't done it yet, after you are married you can change the name on your passport if your passport was issued within the last year... FOR FREE!
Here's my question. Do I need a certified copy of my marriage license to get the passport? Or can I bring the original to the passport agency and get it back right away? If I need a copy of my marriage license is there a way to get it other than going to town hall? Can I phone order it?
okay so it was more than one question. Thanks in advance ladies.

Re: Passport and copy of marriage license?
I just had to deal with this myself. You need a certified copy of your marriage license to send to the Passport Agency and you don't have to go to Town Hall to get them. Since I live in AZ, I went onto the Brookhaven Town website, found the proper form to receive copies of my marriage certificate, sent them enough money to get a few copies and I received them in the mail yesterday, about a week after I mailed in the form. Now I can send in my passport renewal form with my certified copy. Unfortunately, I'm JUST out of the 1 year mark - I renewed last August!! Oh well. HTH!

Re: Passport and copy of marriage license?
I sent my original marriage license with my application for my new passport (unfortunately, I had my old one issued more than a year ago so I had to pay).
