Past DUET Brides-I'm so confused...

First -How many proofs did you rcv???

Secondly....I'm confused about the whole proof/cd process...

I thought we would get our proofs printed for us, they would pick the best to get printed, and we would rcv the cd w/ALL the pics taken at the same time, in case we liked some from there and wanted to use in our album??


but i emailed sue and she said i wont get a cd untl eveyrthing is finished-

im freakin out tho-cuz waht if i wanted a pic to be in the album that i didnt see

I don't know how many proofs I received but the minimum in my contract was 600.

In my contract it also states that you don't get all the pictures (negatives/CD) until after the album is made. I wish I could see all the pictures, but truthfully I have so many nice pictures to choose from for the album from the proofs that getting all the pics would be a headache. JMO.

i hate to butt in, but is that how most photography places do it? i got my proofs (672 of them) printed and will get the CD of them after the album is made...but are there usually more pics on the CD/negatives? i never heard that before! interesting.

Yes, some photographers give you every picture they took that day (usually 2000+ pictures). But most usually weed out the 'bad' ones and give you the best (those are the proofs).

Duet will give me ALL the pictures after they make the albums. I am sure that there are probably some nice pictures that I didn't get as proofs, but I'm okay with that. I already have enough trouble narrowing down the proofs I have to 60 pictures for the album.

I totally agree with this. I mean, if you find a picture that is TO DIE FOR, you can always print it and frame it, right?

I had a really hard time picking pictures for my album out of the 845 that I got from Duet, I couldn't imagine having to factor in more!

We got our proofs exactly 4.5 weeks from our wedding. They tell you 4-5 weeks and they get their deliveries from the lab on Tuesday or Wednesday (Yep. I stalked enough that I got that out of them!) so they call right after that.

Pick a ty right away b/c it takes about another 3 weeks to get them printed after you pick one.

Ah. He could be right, b/c I did get married in February.

But, they have a tendency to tell you a little longer then they need, which I could understand.

Nope. I got ALL my pics on CD and proofs at the same time. they left nothing out. Which is great. I have 1600 proofs/pics and granted, on my CD they have a group they like...but many of them I do not like! If a studio tried to get me to make an album out of SOME of my pics, I'd be pi$$ed.

I AM SO MAD!!!!!!

Another Duet bride FM'd me n told me she got to see her pics that werent printed in the proofs that she got back n she is using 2 pics from the ones NOT printed in her album...

I do not want to have this happen to me-I would like to see ALL my proofs b4 I pick ones for the album
