I know this is cheesy but I had to say how thankful I am to be married. As some of you know, I had a very unpleasant oral surgery done on Friday (DH's bday). He took amazing care of me the entire weekend. He cooked for me, practically fed me, iced my face...drove me to class etc. He cleaned the entire condo, and did not complain once. His birthday was so ruined and he did not care. I am so grateful that I had him this weekend to help me out. It is nice to be married.

What a sweet story!!
We spend a lot of time on here talking about how our DHs don't help around the house or don't do romantic things around the holidays - it's so nice to hear about the GOOD things they do!

That is why I felt the need to share. I am the first one to complain.

I have to say, I really am lucky. I dont have a lot of family, (well family that would actually be there for me). It has basically been the 2 of us taking care of each other for a long time. I just feel really fortunate. I tell him all the time!

Re: Perks of marriage...
Christy,
That is sooooo sweet!!!
The year before we got married I had surgery the week my DH was on vacation and then got sick on top of it so he spent his whole vacation taking care of me when I'm sure he originally had planned on it being different and not once did he ever complain!
We really do have WONDERFUL DH's!!!
ETA: Hope you are feeling better! (sorry I forgot that the first time )
