Photo albums for stepparents?

Hi everyone,
Well, our proofs are ready and we are about to start the process of picking all the pictures and stuff - but here's the tricky part. Our photo/video package only included two parent albums, and I have two other sets of parents!! The two parent albums are going to my mother, and Craig's parents, but I also want my father and my stepfather to have albums as well. We've already spent close to $5000 on the entire package already and we'd rather just make the extra albums ourselves instead of spending more money that we just dont have anymore!

So my question is - has anyone else run into this problem? I really want to make special albums for my dad and stepdad, but I'm not sure where to start or how to go about doing it. Do you ladies have any suggestions? My sister had two extra albums made for her wedding and spent almost $500 just for that! I'd like to make my own and try to look as professional as possible, but at a fraction of the cost :) Are there websites or stores that you could recommend that might be of some help to us? THANKS as always!!

What I did was I gave my Mom and Stepdad an album, my father and step mom an album and also an album for my inlaws. Then what I did was give my mom a picture of her and me in a frame, and also gave my step dad a picture of me and him in a frame for his office then gave my dad and stepmom a picture of the 3 of us.

Oh, that's a good idea too! Maybe instead of albums, I'll find really nice pictures of us with my father, and stepdad in a really nice frame... Hmm, decisions, decisions! Thanks for the suggestion!

We're giving the parent albums to my parents (who are married) and to his mother. We're giving his dad and stepmother an 8x10 print.

But, I was considering making a special album for my dad pre-wedding and I went to Michael's and bought a blank album and those photo corners that are adhesive and tack right onto the page. I'm not sure what to do if you want something more professional... But, the photographers must get the blank albums from somewhere...maybe you can do a google search on them or something??

Not doing albums at all for the parents.

Instead we got portfolios (sp). The 5-photo collage of sorts that they can hang up or put up in the living room or something.

I know my parents won't pop out the album when folks come by to visit so it seemed like a good idea.

So:
My father is getting one. I don't speak with my mother so nothing there for her or my stepfather. My stepmother lives with my father saw no reason to give her a separate one.

Jim's Mother is getting one. Jim's father doesnt speak to him so nothing there. Jim's stepfather lives with his mother so again no need.

We may give our parents a single photo in a frame on top of that, but I doubt it.

We also ordered one for my grandfather as well. But he died. So I have an extra. May just keep it.

I got 3 parent albums, one for my dad, one for my mom and one for DHs parents. Plus we gave them each an 8x10 of us and a 5x7 of the family.

Hi! I am not a newlywed (I hope no one gets mad about me posting here) but I wanted to recommend My Publisher as a place to order your albums. Your pictures are actually printed in a book! I am going to order one of these as my guestbook with pictures of us dating though the years. If you choose to get these I would also give a framed picture too since this is a book and not real pictures.

as a new step mom to two teen girls, i can just say that anything they would want to give me to be part of the 'family' would be appreciated! I look forward to one day being given a beautiful photo or whatever - an album would not be necessary!

we made an album up for my sister too - bought a nic eleather 'scrap book' kind (trying to figure out how to describe it and this was the best way!) and then mounted about 25 4x6 pics in it.....she loved it and it wasn't that $$$
