photo location - HELP

I'm helping my brother and his fiance - Hi Tracy plan their photo location for the time between the church and the reception. I suggested to them Old westbury gardens but a friend told me that in January (the time of the wedding), you take pics inside and its very dark. Not worth the $$ she said.

Please help with suggestions as to where we can go to take pics in between when the church ends and the reception begins - keeping in mind the wedding is taking place in January. And not too far as we will have about 2 hours total.

Thanks :)

Re: photo location - HELP

You might want to check Farmingdale College, they may have an indoor arboreteum. Or the EAB building, I know they have an indoor area, but I think they charge too.
There isn't any place at the reception hall? We got married in January and part of our hall decision was cuz we could take pics there. We got married on the coldest day of the year and there is no way we would have been outside taking pics, so I was glad that we did what we did.
BTW, I learned from a friend of mine, I was in her wedding party and she got married in October...I can't begin to tell you how hard it rained, she had picked a spot in Setauket for their pics and we obviously couldn't go there, so the photographer begged the church to let us take pics in the church. They let us, only for a 1/2 hour, but that was all we could do cuz there was no place at her hall to take pics.
