What area is the 'walks'. Is that nice or iffy?

Hi there- this is an unusual one..at last for me- a girl from bklyn!
This area runs for several blocks in town. Not really in the East section where the bungalows are...but not as central as the Train station. ( so it is West of the train station)
What it is for instance: one block that is divided in fours by sidewalks. So the bloack is divided up into grids within that one street. It runs from Park Ave down to the beach.
So, if your house is on 'August walk'...you could very well walk down this small sidewalk that by-sects the block to get to your home.
I am sorry if I am not decribing it that well. Just consider 'the walks' like a service road that bi sects the block- but it only allows for people traffic!
I think that it is an ok area. WE did not look there because the homes were a bit smaller than what we wanted...and I didn't like the idea of people walking by my back door/yard. But, it def suits a lot of people! The neighborhood assoc there takes good care of the area...plants a lot of beautful flowers, etc.
