Picking songs for the video is so hard!!!!

I spent ALL DAY yesterday trying to pick songs for the video. I've come up with a few, but I still have a couple more left to pick. I'm stumped!!!
Does anybody have any favorite songs that are instrumental, or new-age sounding?
Any movie soundtracks that have really pretty instrumentals that you can think of???

Please tell me that I'm not the only one who's having such a hard time!

I struggled with the same exact thing for MONTHS!!! I don't know any instrumentals!!!!!

I ended up finding a piano/jazz CD of Disney songs and also bought a few John Williams/Boston Pops salutes the movies/salutes sinatra type CD's ... it was important to me that I actually KNOW the songs in my video!!! LOL!! Cause my videographer was recommending artists and I was like I don't even know who they are so I'm definitely not going to know their songs!!!!

I looooooooooooove the theme to the movie 'Life Is Beautiful' It's such a pretty insturmental song.

I just picked out our songs- believe me, it was hard! I made a whole CD of songs I loved and then picked the specific ones I wanted for the video. Here is what I picked:

Instrumental- a song called 'Dreams Come True' by Jim Brickman. It's a beautiful song that is perfect for our video! You can check out other Jim Brickman songs too-- he has a ton of georgous songs, both instrumental and with words.

Our other main song is a song by Josh Grobman. called 'When You Say You Love Me' which I thought was perfect for a video because of the words and because of the melody- it is very soft but powerful.

For our honeymoon pictures, we are using Hawaiin version of 'Somewhere over the Rainbow' by a singer named Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. It's so pretty and we heard it the whole time we were in Hawaii.

Other songs:
I knew I loved You- Savage Garden
This Will Be (an everlasting love)- Natalie Cole
Whenever I see you're smiling face- James Taylor

We gave them these suggestions and left it in their hands of where to use each song. They are professional editors so I trust them!

Mindy those are great songs. I know the Hawaiin version of 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' (I think) that you're talking about. It was in a commercial with a little boy and his dad going through a car wash. I think it was a Fisher Price commercial?
And Jim Brickman sounds so familiar. I'll have to look him up.

Junebride04 - I just listened to a clip of that song from 'Life is Beautiful' and I almost started crying! That was by far one of the best movies I've ever seen. That song is perfect too. Thanks again!

you're right- I think that song was in a commercial but I could not remember what commercial it was!

I LOVE the song from Life is Beautiful! It's called Buon Giorno Principessa or something like that right? What part of the video do you think that is good for??

Sounds weird, but did you try the Harry Potter or Lord of the Rings soundtracks? They have some great instrumentals. Also, the Princess Bride theme song???

Yeah, Buon Giorno Principessa is the song, although they have another version on the CD called Abbiamo Vinto. I have to go to Tower Records now and buy it! It's a little bit of a melancholy song, but I really have to hear the whole thing to decide if I want to use it. I think it'd be perfect for the recap.
