I can't beleive it was so cold the whole way?? Was the Hearst Castle affected by the earthquake at all? I heard it was evacuated...

It wasn't cold for the whole trip, but it was chilly in Utah which is where most of the pictures are from. We didn't see any snow from AZ to VA.

Hearst Castle lost some items (sculptures/lamps) but didn't suffer any structural damage. They have most of the stuff stuck/tied down. There were huge cracks in the road on the way from Paso Robles to San Simeon. I hear Paso Robles had a lot of damage to their downtown.
