pissed at dh!

pissed at dh!

dh absolutely LOVES to go fishing; he tries to go twice a month on a weekend day, its 8 hours or more. now, i've mentioned before that dh works in construction and during the week he has little to no energy for much of anything, which i dont begrudge him because he works his a$$ off...y'all can see where this is going right?

so last weekend i said NO FISHING you're gonna sit right here and hold my f''ing hand. and he did. and he said but next weekend i'm going fishing and you cant say anything; i said ok.

now: my moh is here from ariz, with her new bf, and only for the weekend. so dh goes fishing for a half day today AND he makes plans to go for a whole day tomorrow!!! i'm livid. he said he did the half day trip cause the other boat he usually goes on was broken down and he didnt think he'd get out at all this weekend. but he made a deal with the captain that if the boat was running by sunday he'd go out. and there you have it.

so i'm not talking to him now; i told him i was fukking pissed about it cause i wanted us both to spend time with my gf, go to the beach etc.

what's your opinion???

of course you know i want to agree with you, but...

it seems like you made a deal: last weekend NO fishing, this weekend fishing with no complaints from you.

did you both know your MOH was coming before you made that deal?

However - can' t deals be broken esp when something like that comes up like OOT guests in your home

i did know she was comming, so did he; honestly i wouldnt put up a fuss if he was only going the one day...but BOTH! gimme a break!! i think its a bit much. grrrrrrrrrr

My hubby plays golf three to four times a week, so I could relate at times! And yes, I would be upset because your moh is bringing her bf. If it was just your moh, I wouldn't care, but the fact that another guy is around makes this situation hard because it would be nice to all hang out.

For example, today my husband is playing golf so he is going to miss brunch with my friends that are visiting, but will meet us by the pool later to hang out with them for a few hours.

Can you find a compromise and meet in the middle??????

you know what wouldve been a great compromise? he couldve done another half day trip today, been back by 1ish and we wouldve had plenty of time to hang out today! they fly out at like 8 tonight; dh will now get home at 5. they'll be getting ready to leave! but no, he has to go on the freakin all day trip today cause he luuuuvvvvs that boat.

totally right about if it was just my moh i could care less...but we're meeting the bf for the first time, and it wouldve been nice to spend some more time with him. dh hung out with them for about 2 hrs yesterday only.
