will try to post some of my own later on. have been off the boards for a while bc work has been NUTZ! keeping my head down with this bad economy!!! it's scary. layoffs are coming too close for comfort. anyone feel this way?

I have virtually NO work because a lot of the projects I work on are being stopped or delayed or whatever. But definitely agree about layoffs are too close to comfort.

isn't it scary? i never thought i'd have to think about things like this.... and now all of a sudden, it is so real. i just pray that it doesn't come my way... i am in sales & trading and that is all youhave been hearing about lately - layoff after layoff.

I got laid off last week...it was pretty shocking. I knew layoffs were coming and yet I didn't think it'd be me.
Its been fun so far, not working. I really didn't like my job anyway. But I got a really nice package, so I don't have to worry about work for a few months.
I figure I won't start looking until next year.

well i am glad that you got out of a job you weren't happy with. in a way i wish i could be laid off but then again i get worried bc i know that i need to work right now so we could afford a house. good luck to you and ejoy your time off!
