Please help me figure out

why someone would have given us $249.99 as a wedding gift.
Any guesses?

OMG. That is so weird.

Someone told me the number 9 was good luck to jewish people, so I thought maybe that was why. But, we gave this person $300 for their wedding, so if that were the case, shouldn't they have given us $299.99? (closer to our gift, plus another 9!)

actually 18 is significant to jewish people not 9 so thats weird.

i got $234.56 in a card and couldnt figure out what it meant. then we realized 23456. the guy was a math coach and a friend of my mom (another math coach)

ah! okay 18! Someone I work with got $18 as a gift and he explained that to me, but I think b/c two people gave it, I divided the number in 2 and came up with nine. I'm really confused now!!

No clue-we didnt get any weird gifts-Iwonder

sounds like something my DH would do!! He actually did this to a friend when she got married! A little joke amongst accountants in his case.
