Please Help Settle A Dispute

DH & I went to visit my sister last night and watched part of American Idol. When the young man came on and did the Israel Kamakawiwo'Ole version on Somewhere Over The Rainbow. I said that this version was in 50 First Dates and she told me no that I am wrong and don't know what I am talking about. Please, please tell me that I am correct. TIA
