Please post pics of plus size BM dresses-

Hi, I'm a board crasher from 07 Brides & I need a little advice-

One of my BM is threatening to drop out because she is not happy with any of the choices myself or the 2 other BM have selected. She refuses to wear anything with a tie or bow at the waist b/c she is a size 18 and says that it will not look right even though she has never tried one on. A lot of what I am finding has one of those incorporated in the dress. I am having a day wedding so I do not want many embellishments and prefer a shorter length.
I could kick myself for giving my BP the option to make selections on dresses. I am just so annoyed at this point that a part of me wants to just let her get out of being in my wedding BUT another part of me wants her there b/c we have been friends for 10 years and I am still hoping that I will find a dress we can all agree on.
This isn't the only issue... she wants to pick her own hairstyle, her own shoe type (i'm talking about early 90's platform) her own jewelry...... hello, it's MY wedding. Grrrrrrr

No problem crashing the board. My 7 BMs ranged in size from 2 to 26 so I feel your pain. They were all from OOT, so I gave them 10 choices through pictures online. They ALL agreed on 1 choice; it was a PC Marys dress, which comes with a matching purse. I nearly fainted. But, it was a 3 piece dress so I asked them all to wear the jacket in the church and they could do what they wanted at the reception. I will post those pics. They are the black dresses. (2 dropped out before the wedding, that's why there are only 5)

Also, I have found that A line dresses are more flattering for any figure. I HATE strapless dresses, but I was comfortable in my best friend's wedding. (2 of us were size 14 and 16 and the other girls went down to size 6) Let me see if I can find that dress online and post a pic. (It would be the cranberry dress, but I highly suggest NOT buying from house of brides. I only found the image there)

ok, don't be upset, but I personally I HATE when brides tell bridesmaids what shoes to wear. Are you wearing them? NO! Let the girls be comfortable. That said:

I had 8 bridesmaids ranging from a size 8-22/24. Being a size 14/16 myself, it was important to me to make sure they were comfortable. Take her to Davids to try on other styles. Davids has styles in every size to see. I took four of my girls to the dress shop ahead of time. These four were the hardest to fit (my MOH is plus size & busty, my friend is tiny waist but huge breasts, my short busty friend and my other friend who has a skin condition that she is extremely shy about). They agreed on something. I had another plus size bridesmaid, but she was in FL and very laid back with styles. I can tell you that I always wanted pink dresses but all my girls veto it. So they wore red. I also made sure I got a style that came with a shawl. The girls wore it for pictures and at the church. Here are what we choose:

p.s. have patience with her. You need to understand a little what she is feeling. She is probably the only larger bridesmaid and all the other girls may be ok with a slinkier style, but she won't. I know its your day, but as her friend try and understand.

My BM's ranged from a size zero (no kidding) to a size 24. Here is a pic. We went to David's bridal. I found this dress looked good on all of the ladies.
