Please PRAY for DH....
He lost his ring while painting 2 weekends ago and still has not found it..Of course, he carelessly put it down 'someplace' while painting. I think it may have falled on a drop cloth and been thrown away.:EMO7And without your prays I may end up killing him for this...so please take PITY on him:

Re: Please PRAY for DH....
Michele, I hope he finds his ring. If you remember, my DH lost his last year right before Christmas (our first one as a married couple). He swore up and down he misplaced it in our house while doing work. Turns out he finds it in one of his cars at work. I was just so happy he found it I didn't have to kill him

Re: Please PRAY for DH....
Here's to hoping it will turn up!! If a engagement ring can be found in Penn Station, there's hope for your DH yet!!Lost and Found: A Love Story
Oct 5, 2003 - by Ed Lowe ( Newsday)
Married almost three years now, Bill and Lara McKenna of East Northport are the parents of an 8-month-old son, Liam Jacob McKenna.
Bill and Lara met while students at SUNY Oswego. Lara claims that, for her, at least, it was love at first sight. 'The first time I saw Bill,' she said, 'it was across the room at a party. Everything in the room turned black and white, and he was in color.' That evening, they learned that they lived near each other at home - he in Northport; she in Smithtown. Eventually, they started dating and continued as a couple for the rest of that academic year and through the summer of 1995, following Lara's graduation.
After landing a job in hotel marketing and public relations, Lara moved to Manhattan from her parents' Smithtown home. Bill graduated from Oswego the following year and found a job in sales, with the EMC Corp. By 1999, the couple had moved together into an apartment in Forest Hills, where, around Christmas, Bill proposed. He gave Lara a diamond ring he had purchased at Mayfair Jewelers in Commack, a perfectly round stone in an antique setting, the stone flanked by hearts that kept it fastened to the ring.
On Jan. 2, 2001, with less than six weeks to go before the wedding, Lara lost the ring.
'We had been skiing and snowboarding at Okemo Mountain in Vermont for the New Year's Eve weekend,' Lara recalled. 'I was learning to snowboard. I was up and down in the snow, taking my mittens off, playing in the snow, never once thinking to take off my engagement ring.
'On the first day back to work on Jan. 2, 2001, of that special year - we were getting married Feb. 10, 2001, at Flowerfield in St. James - I cut my engagement ring finger in the morning, making a sandwich to take for lunch. Bill had already left for work, so, alone, I applied pressure to the cut and wrapped my finger in paper towels and tape. Not wanting to leave my ring at home, I placed it on my pinky next to all the bandages on my ring finger.
'All day I wore my ring like that. When it came time to go home, I headed to Penn Station to get on the 6:13 train to Forest Hills. We both took the train every day. It was a 15-minute ride. I also took the bus across town to Penn that day. I usually walked. My office was on 10th and 37th Street and I usually walked 34th Street to Penn Station, but it was so cold, I took the bus.
'Penn Station was crowded that night, everyone bustling around back to work after the holidays. I needed to buy a monthly ticket, which was something out of the norm, too, because I usually would buy my tickets in the morning at the Forest Hills station. I walked the whole length of the station back and forth, and there was not one ticket machine that did not have a line of less than 10 people, so I waited near the main entrance and the police booth there, by the restrooms. When the last call for the train was announced, I ran down the stairs to track 13. The doors closed. There were wall-to-wall people. I looked down, and my ring was gone.
'I panicked,' Lara said. 'I checked the insides of my gloves, my pockets, my bag. I thought maybe it came off when I was looking for my wallet in line. 'Excuse me. Excuse me,' I whispered, my heart in my stomach, 'I think I lost something.' The train was packed. You could not even see the floor.
'The 15-minute ride to Forest Hills seemed like 15 hours,' she said. 'At home, I dumped out my bag on the floor of our apartment, and I called Bill. His office was at 11 Penn Plaza, across the street from Madison Square Garden. I was in hysterics. I said, 'I am so sorry. I was so careless. I lost my ring.' He said, 'Calm down and tell me what happened.' So I explained. I told him about the cut, the bandages, taking the bus, where was the ticket line I was standing on and the number of the track I ran down to.
''I am sorry,' I said. I was crying. 'It is so special. It will never be the same,' and he very calmly said, 'Don't worry, it's us that is special, not a ring. I am going to Penn Station, and I am going to find your ring,' he said. But I knew it would never be the same.'
'The time now was 6:45 p.m. I tried calling the railroad's Lost and Found number, but no one answered.'
McKenna looked in all the places in Penn Station Lara had described, though she had not told him that she'd walked the length of the station. He scanned the floor, scoured the corners and stopped at the police station to explain what had happened and leave behind his business card. A police officer said, 'Good luck,' to him as he left the office.
He then found the Lost and Found desk, where a makeshift sign read, 'Be right back.' He waited behind a couple who said they were looking for a lost manila folder. He told them his story, and when the clerk returned, they offered to let him go first. He thanked them but declined. When he finally approached the counter, he smiled weakly and said, 'Hi. Are you ready for this? Have you found any diamond rings?' He inhaled deeply and added, 'My fiancee lost hers about an hour ago, and we're getting married in six weeks.' The counter clerk, Selina Pride, said, 'What did it look like?'
'Do not mess with me,' said McKenna. 'It's an antique ring with a round diamond held up by two hearts.' Selina Pride took out a Ziploc bag filled with earrings, watches, eyeglasses, barrettes and bracelets. 'I just found this old ring on my way to Duane Reade on my break,' she said. 'I haven't even logged it in, yet.' It was the ring, banged up a little, and found in a corner far from where Lara had said she was standing.
Amazed, McKenna recited its inscription. Pride read it and handed him the ring. He boarded the 7:11 train for Forest Hills.
Lara was sick to her stomach by the time she heard the apartment door open. She hid in the bedroom. 'Then,' she said, 'I burst into tears and buried my face in his chest. He said, 'There is only one person in the world luckier than me, and that's you.' I cried even harder when I saw my ring on his finger.'
Lara McKenna brought flowers to Selina Pride the next day and wrote a letter to station manager Mitch Menarchem and then-LIRR president Ken Bauer, who wrote back assuring her that the letters would go into Pride's personnel file. Pride, who lives in Brooklyn, still works the Lost and Found desk at Penn.
