Please send some prayers **4th Update
Please please please say a little prayer for my husband's uncle Louie, he's in LIJ right now, his brain is hemorrhaging.....they can't operate yet b/c there's too much blood around his brain. I don't know anything about this kind of thing, and I feel so helpless.
he was at DH's cousin's daughters school today for some event, and he got sick and threw up, he went home to go to sleep and then they decided to bring him to the hospital b/c he didn't seem right, thank god they did. He had a brain anuerysm maybe 10 years ago, but he's been ok since then. I feel so sad right now, DH is being strong, but this is the only uncle he really grew up with and he's also his godfather. I'm really praying everything will be ok
thanks for listening.
ETA- just got an update, he's in an induced coma, they did the first part of the surgery to alleviate the blood, they're doing an angiogram in the morning to see how bad it is and how soon they can remove the anuerysm.
UPDATE- they woke him up out of the coma this morning, and he was able to talk and move his fingers & toes, so they're saying that's a good sign that he hasn't lost brain function. they put him back in the coma, and they'll be doing the angiogram around 9am. thanks for the prayers ladies!!!
Update #2: Ok I spoke w/ MIL, he had the angiogram this morning, he's been diagnosed with Moya Moya disease, I had never heard of it, so I googled it and it's apparently a really rare disease where the veins in your brain get tangled and cause blockages. The surgeon told MIL that only 7 adults have this in the US (not sure how accurate that is, but still, its very rare). So for now, they're keeping him sedated and making sure no 'new' blood appears, and that the aneursym from yesterday bleeds out.

****3RD update: Just got word he's being rushed into surgery right now, he might be hemorrhaging again
*****ok 4th update! they are saying the surgery was a success and they removed 80% of the aneursym. I don't know anything else right now, this is the info I got from my hubby who spoke to his dad, once I speak to his mom I'll know more (women always get the details right!). but at least so far things are looking better than yesterday!
