POLL: Did you include a PICTURE with your thank you cards?

any kind of picture, be it on the card, or a wallet size photo, any kind of image...

for a 'regular' wedding guest (not family, not bridal party) did you include a picture with your thank-you card?

Mine was a thank you postcard 3x5 ... picture on front, we wrote on the back.

Mine's a monogrammed reception card where I will write stuff inside then put a 3 1/2 x 5 photo inside. Still have to do it; waiting on getting the pics! It's not an insert, just a regular reception-style card.

I am also putting some proofs in for people. Our photographer got great shots of some of our guests and I will probably slip one or 2 good ones in. It's always nice to get pictures!

That is a VERY thoughtful idea!!! And, yes, it is always nice to get pictures!

I'm feeling pretty shafted right now...I just got a thank you card with no pic...

How about we once got a pre-printed thank you (absolutely no handwriting - not even our names) with no pic!

Yes I am doing the same. My photographer got ALOT of beautiful couple shots during the anniversary dance and during our first dance and I am making copies to send out.

Nope, no pictures whatsoever.

It's a nice idea, but I've never once kept the picture from a wedding thank-you card.

thanks....we think it's nice, too! there's tons of shots of some of our engaged friends, family friends...all looking great and happy and it's a professional photo and I think it'll make people happy. Someone did this for us, and the photo ended up being what my sister used to make our CD favor for my bridal shower! :)

Most people will just get the one of us and probably toss it but a handful will get a card stuffed with at least 2 or 3!!!

that's even worse.

And, I just want to add: we included wallet pics. And, this couple TERRORIZED us because they 'KNEW' that another guest took a picture of THEM at OUR WEDDING and gave it to US and they wanted it from us!!!

And, after their wedding, we emailed them all of our digital pics from their wedding.

We only sent pictures to close friends and family...not everyone

but i wrote really heartfelt thank you's to everyone!

Many people from out of state don't send pictures. Personally, I really like them.

Yes...we did because I knew that anyone who was a the wedding would probably want one or appreciate one. That is the good thing about only inviting people you know and want to share the day!

We did the same thing!! We had so many guest shots and a lot of them were really nice couples shots, so I scanned them in and inserted them for some of the guests.

Our TY had pics printed on the front of it.

this is exactly what we did. some were of DH w/ guests, myself w/ guests, guest group shots, candids, etc... not to offend but we thought a pic of just DH and i was uncessasry as many people (myself included) usually just toss them.

I would have included pics with the TYs, except that my ILs were jackasses about getting the TYs out, so I couldn't get my pictures back from the photographer before sending them out.

No, seriously, I have 100 wallet sized pictures of us now with no good reason to send them out because 2 weeks after the wedding people hadn't gotten TYs yet. Oh the effing horror. It got so bad that I finished the TYs for his side of the family and just haven't picked up the rest since (the rest are just friends, who I am sure either a: haven't noticed, or b: understand).

DH asked me to write the rest on the plane to CA next week, so that's what I'll be doing! I haven't seen *his* @ss write any, btw.

Argh, I hate thank you notes. Would've been fine and done if ILs weren't jackasses.

We didn't give any of the proofs away, but we had the digital files, so I made reprints for some people if had a good picture I thought they'd like.

We did also include the standard thank you pic though.

Some people just don't do that. My dad's co-workers thought it was such a novel idea when they receioved mine. It is a regional thing, I think. But also, my freidns didnt' do it & it took them over 6 months to do there thank yous. I found out later theat they did have a thank you picture, our circle of friends ( the grooms friends) just didn't get one. I thought that was rude.

I kept the pcituer form 2 of my freinds weddings & my cousins ( which I was in) I have framed. I knwo outr moms , DH's autn & at least one of my friends kept our picute.

I don'' care if people throw it out, some people just like to see it, maybe hang it on the fridge for a week & then toss it, & there are some people that do want to keep it, so it is easier just to send it out to everyone.
