Poll: which would you rather have

so my job gives you a day off for your birthday, but you can really use it anytime during your birthday week. my birthday happens to fall on a thursday. i need to put in for it tomorrow and i'm stuck.

I'd still do it on Friday, I'd rather have 3 uninterrupted days off than having to go back in to work for just one day, regardless if DH was off or not.

long weekend for sure

usually when u work on your bday..for some reason, the day goes by REALLLY FAST

so yea, def long weeekend

just make sure they have a cake for u

If you do take it off on Thursday, what would you do to paper / treat yourself that day? You could go for a spa day yourself if that's something you like.

Personally, I'd go for taking off on Friday and having a long weekend to yourself. Even if your DH isn't off, you can sleep in and enjoy. I actually kinda like the attention of being at work on my birthday. Then I always tell people it's my birthday -- my own special holiday! Goofy, but fun...

It's super awesome that they do that for you guys!! I LOVE to hear the good stories... bc we always hear the bad. so the good is refreshing!

I'd take a long weekend anytime over a thurs off!!!!! And I agree with PP who said about your bday work day going by faster .... If you take off on thurs, i could totally see friday going by at a super slow speed
