What an awesome vacation! We had amazing weather the whole week (which was great since they were predicing thunderstorms). Our Villa was incredible - all week we were raving about it. It was huge. We each had our own bedroom w/ balconies and own bathrooms, and an amazing deck/terrace where we ate breakfast every morning and had wine & cheese or champagne every evening. Perfect for a family trip. A million times better than a hotel. We had a ton of gelato, wine, cheese, seafood, proscuitto, etc - yummy!

Hit up Pompei on the way to Positano. It was really interesting, but looked like most other ruins. I expected to see more of the artifacts in their original location, but they've moved them all. Still great to see though freaky to see the bodies...
Then we headed to the Villa - which as I mentioned above, was amazing! We were exhausted, so we went to dinner nearby and then to bed. Some Villa pics:
Holy cow - What a flashback to our HM! Sounds and looks like an amazing trip. I'm so jealous you got to see the concert in Ravello (rained when we were there). I am also totally psyched that you enjoyed Donna Rosa's - I can almost taste it now - Thanks for sharing!
Ditto Februarybride!!! OMG, those pictures are breathtaking and make me very sad because I'm dying to go to Italy, but that's not going to happen for awhile now that bambino/bambina is coming!!!

what fabulous pictures! Totally reminds me of my trip to Santorini after college.
That picture of the man praying is so sad though - just knowing that's exactly what he was doing when he died, and he was, in essence frozen in time!
We saw something similar to that in Greece - Akotiri (sp?) but no bodies - just walls to their homes, pottery, etc - still very cool to look at something so unbelieveably historical though!
