Port Washington

Hello everyone,

Me and hubby are looking at places for houses and port washington came up on our list. Does anyone have any info that they want to share, houses, schools, etc...

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I don't know much but I'm pretty sure it's on the expensive side.

It's a great town. I'd look there if I could remotely afford it. A small condo or co-op costs what moderately sized houses do where we are looking.

But anyway, other than being a quite affluent area, it's a really cute town, on the water, lots of cute shops and older buildings. Main Street is really nice, little restaurant and all. My DH used to live in Manhasset so we went to Port Washington a few times to walk around. It's a nice town, just very expensive - which means it's ultra safe and the schools are great.
