Hi I got married this past Sunday. It was a perfect day. Everything was beautiful. Before the wedding, there was so much stress that I couldnt wait until it was finally over. But now, I wish I could go back! I'm actually SO sad its all over! anyone else?

Re: Post-Wedding Blues
That's totally normal. I was feeling the blues too. I love all the planning stuff -- now I just plan to help others plan their weddings. But look back and remember how beautiful of a day it was -- that should make you happy!

Re: Post-Wedding Blues
I really thought I was going to get a case of the blues, but I'm as happy as anything! I'm glad that I have the memory of such a great day, plus all the headaches that came with it - but I'm also just happy to be a newlywed. I've put my mind to learning new recipes, working harder (since I wasn't as focuesed with the wedding), getting the apartment in order, looking at RE (although we can't afford just yet) and just being my DH's wife! I love it! Give it time, this will past ... but in the meantime, look at pictures and just indulge in that memory! Before you know it, you'll be planning a family! There's always going to be things to plan for in life!

I totally have wedding withdrawal and post wedding blues! I need something to plan for, maybe babies?

Re: Post-Wedding Blues
I was married last month and I can totally relate to how you are feeling. Although I can tell you that in time it seems to dwindle down. To keep myself from getting the 'Blues' all the time, I have been helping my friend plan her wedding, beleive me, by doing that I realized that I do not miss all the stress that came with the planning! Trust me, it will get easier

Re: Post-Wedding Blues
I got married in June, and thought I might get the blues- but I absolutely do not! I don't miss all of the stress and running around, not to mention the sleepless nights of worrying about a million little details. I fell so relaxed now and I am enjoying being a newlywed, and am able to concentrate on decorating our home, cooking, all of the things I had no time for before. I expect my sister will probably get engaged soon, then I can help plan her wedding.

Re: Post-Wedding Blues
I felt that way for awhile after my April wedding. I really enjoyed the planning and missed having something so wonderful to look forward to. But its worn off and I'm having an amazing time being married.
(I am planning vacations though, so that occupies me)
I think the longer you stay involved on these boards(on the bride side) the harder it is to let go. I've been trying to wean myself off
I think my mom feels the withdrawal more than I do now!

Re: Post-Wedding Blues
I didn't get the blues right after the wedding however, as we approach our first anniversary and remembering the excitement I felt the days before the wedding, I'm beginning to feel a little sad. I'm very happy being married but I guess it was really fun planning the whole wedding.

Re: Post-Wedding Blues
I totally feel your pain. I still am obsessed with these wedding sites. I wish I could do it all over again. When I get that way I watch my wedding video. I cant belive that I will be married only 1 year. It goes fast, but sometimes feels so much longer.
I thought I would get them, but 2 weeks down and nothing yet...
Like Cira...I'm glad to put the stress behind me...I get to throw out all the little scraps of paper...I get to sit and read a book or do absolutely NOTHING...
Oh and we also got a puppy...something I never thought I would get, but he takes up a lot of the time I would have spent planning a wedding
