Thanks! A few people have mentioned that anything cooked in a slow cooker is wonderful! That is practically the only thing that I did not register for. I better make a trip to BB&B soon

wanna make goulash? its basically cubed meat with a sauce over pasta or potatoes, and its easy but soo good, DH loves it
Buy pre-cut cubed meat, a little oil in the pan and cook the meat through, basically when its not pink in the center anymore.
for the sauce- go to the spices aisle and get this green and yellow little box that says goulash in parenthesis.
Basically follow the directions on the box, not hard at all promise. Then add the meat with the sauce and let it simmer for about 50 min. add a little heavy cream to the pot to thicken it up. and serve over egg noodles, or mash potatoes. ((egg noodles will be alot easy, since all you do is boil))
But I promise it may sound hard but its really not at all, and the meat is so tender and amazing that you and your DH will LOVE it!

chicken parm?
buy skinless and boneless chicken. Mix eggs together in a bowl. Dip chicken breasts first into baking powder, then the egg yolks, make sure the egg yolks is just a thin layer, then dip into bread crumbs.
After you get all the chicken done, throw it onto a frying pan with some oil and cook all the way through, noooo pink, its better to keep the heat lower to cook all the way through, so you don't end up burning the chicken on the outside and not cooking the inside.
Take the chicken off the pan, throw some tomatoe sauce on the chicken with a little shredded mozzarella cheese. Throw it in the over ((275 degrees)) and bake for a few min. just to see the cheese completely melted.
Eat alone, or with some spaghetti

Hmm I'm not really sure how to explain what it tastes like, its basically like a brown thicker gravey sauce, soo good on top of the meat. I'm such a picky eater and I love it lol
It depends how many chicken breasts you want to make. If its just you and dh, I would say you only need one egg.
Your very welcome

Goulash spices are a mix of sweet paprika, garlic and onion powder, marjoram. It's a nice flavorful but not spicy brown sauce. I used to make it all the time for my dad, but DH claims he doesn't like it. I have also made it with veal - look for cubed veal for stew. That comes out really tender. You can also dice some onion and add that in, brown the onions first, set them aside and then brown the meat.

Here are some of my faves...i am the queen of easy cookin' that tastes yummy! lol.
TO DIE FOR Fettucini Alfredo with Garlic marinated chicken.(SO EASY! & SOOO freakin' good!) You'll Need: ------------------------ 1 lb. pasta(fettucini or linguini) 1/2 Cup butter 1/2 Pint Heavy Creme 1 dash garlic salt(about the size of a quarter) 1/2 cup Pecorino Romano Cheese(i always get fresh grated from the supermarket! YUM!) 1/2 of half cup(i dont know what the measurement is! lol) Parmesean(again i get the fresh grated(but not the block...it's already grated but this is the fresh cheese in the deli dept. of the supermarket right by all the blocks of cheese) salt/black pepper to taste. 1lb. skinless boneless chix. breast 1-2 cloves garlic(keep in mind these are the little peices OFF of the big garlic head...i gave this to my SIL & she chopped up two huge heads of garlic!! lol) -little olive oil for grilling -------------------------------------------------------------------- **put water up for pasta
1) First, cut chix. into cubes, and chop up garlic. In frying pan, add some olive oil. Season chicken with salt & pepper, and add garlic to pan. Fry up untill chicken is cooked thoroughly - set aside.
2) In small sauce pan, melt butter into creme over very low heat. Add garlic salt, along with a little salt & pepper.
(**Add pasta to water)
3) Increase heat to medium...stir in cheeses untill melted. This will thicken sauce.
4) Add chicken to sauce.
5) Once pasta is done, add pasta to pot and stir untill thoroughly coated.
Serve immediately, serve with Italian or garlic Bread :)
i have an awesome AWESOME pork recipe...and the best part??? It's a 30minute meal ....and it's soooooo good!!!!!
Asian Glazed Pork Tenderloin
you'll need:
1/2 Cup Plum sauce (i get mine where the asian sauces are in the supermarket it's called Kum-lee something....can't remember the full name!)
2 tbs. lime juice 2 scallions - chopped 2 garlic cloves - chopped 1 tsp. ginger 1 nice size pork tenderloin for two(about a 1lb 1/2??) 2 tbs. vegetable oil salt & pepper ------------------------------------------
1) Combine plum sauce, lime juice, scallions, garlic and ginger in bowl and mix well
2)Cut tenderloin into 1inch thick slices. Season with salt and pepper, and grill in veg. oil. Grill untill pork is cooked thoroughly(juices should run clear) and sides are just beginning to brown.
3) Pour glaze over meat and cook 1-2 minutes longer(just untill glaze is hot)
4) Transfer to platter, cover with foil & let stand for 5minutes.
I also concocted this meal for dinner one night and it was so yummy! DH loved it...
Vodka Chicken with creamy stewed tomatoes & penne
you'll need:
about 1/2 stick butter divided in half(or more if needed)
1 small onion chopped
4 boneless skinless chix. breasts(i actually bought a pack of 3 thick ones and cut into them to thin them a little and make more)
1 can of Delmonte original recipe stewed tomatoes - chopped into small chunks
1/4 cup vodka
1/2 pint heavy cream
1/2lb. penne(i used ronzoni healthy harvest whole wheat)
garlic powder, salt & pepper to season chicken
little bit of olive oil --------------------------------------------
1)put water up for pasta
2)season chicken with garlic powder, salt & pepper and grill up in a little olive oil. Set aside
3)in small sauce pan/pot, place 1/2(of 1/2) stick of butter in frying pan with onion. Let cook untill onion becomes tender...once tender add vodka and let simmer for about 10minutes.
4)add stewed tomatoes and let simmer another 5minutes
5)add cream and rest of butter, along with a little pepper to taste....mix untill well blended.(i also added a little bit of garlic salt - but it's not entirely necessary) - let sauce get hot, but do not let bubble!(cream scalds way to easily so keep it on low heat!)
6) Add chicken breasts to pot of sauce, and add pasta to boiling water.
7) Once pasta is done, cover with sauce & serve chicken on the side :)
SO YUMMY!!!!!!!!

Re: Post you most fool-proof recipe... I need help
OK. I am the world's most retarded cook. I burn EVERYTHING. So here is the most fool-proof delicious thing I make: It looks good. Keep in mind I can't make jello or toast. I really can't. I'm not insulting anyone. I'm just not a cook...but if I can do it....
Broiled skirt steak with veggies.
The broiler is under your oven. I discovered this recently.
1. Buy skirt steak. It is fatty, yes, but yummy. 2. Pour BBQ sauce on top of the steak. I've heard that salt and pepper are good too. But I, world's worst cook, can screw this up...so BBQ sauce is easy. 3. Turn on broiler (it has one setting). 4. Make little boat out of foil (turn up edges so that fat can't leak out & make broiler something MORE to clean) 5. Put meat in broiler and check it every once in a while. 6. Turn it and cut it for appropriate pink color.
Veggies:
1. Buy a steamer in your grocery store. This should cost about $5. 2. Buy broccoli/ cauliflower/string beans or whatever. 3. Put a little bit of water at the end (so that veggies are NOT touching water. 4.Turn on burner. 5. Put cover over the pot that you put the steamer in. 6. Veggies are ready when they turn BRIGHT.
Even easier veggies:
1. Buy frozen brussel sprouts. 2. Heat for 8 minutes in boiling water.

Steak (any kind).... -1 onion (optional) 2 red/green bell pepper(one of each) -italian salad dressing(any brand) -garlic powder -couple drops of worschteshire sauce -little bit of teriake
-------------------------------------------- 1) poke holes on both sides of steak with fork & place in baking dish...cover with chopped peppers(cut away seeds) & onions
2) pour a ton of italian salad dressing over steak(should be enough to be about 1/4 - 1/2 inch in dish)
3) add a little bit of terriake sauce(not a ton...just a couple shakes)
4) 4 drops of worschteshire
5) cover with garlic powder
place in oven & set to broil. Cook about 10-15 minutes on one side, then flip steak & do the same on the other untill the middle is the color of ur preferance.(a good medium is about 10minutes on each side..sometimes a little more)
so simple & ooooh so good! If u want it to have even more flavor - put the entire steak together, cover & place in fridge for a few hours.
serve with veggies & potato

i am learning to cook too and the 'griddler' is my lifesaver!! its like a george forman grill basically
right now i am marinating some chicken cutlets in a lemon pepper marinade ( out of the bottle ) and serving it with some pasta
tomorrow i am making steaks, i marinate over night with some extra virgin olive oil and emeril's steak rub and tomorrow throw it on the griddler
its great bc you can close it and cook both sides at once, so you dont even have to flip it!! when the steaks are done i just wrap them up right in some aluminum foil and let them sit for about ten minutes before eating - excellent! tomorrow i making mashed potatoes and pillsbury biscuits to go with it
i am trying that rigatoni carbonara what was posted the other day tonight - actually i should go put the water on LOL
