post your favorite vegas hotel

pls help me decide which hotel to stay at in vegas- there are so many to choose from. im looking for a hotel on the strip, reasonalby priced but that has a lot of action- help?

I like The Mirage, New York, New York or the Rio. although they are all really full of action!
The Bellagio wasn't that good service wise!

I liked the Mirage also. FIL always stays at the Luxor but I think that's at the end of the strip.

Jennbaby - I'm disappointed to hear that about Bellagio. It looks just beautiful and I love the dancing water fountain.

The Bellagio is BEAUTIFUL!
The service was bad, they sent us into a room when we checked in, where there was a guy asleep in the bed .

On top of that, they weren't super nice!

The Bellagio is gorgeous but I heard they are very snotty and nasty. My friends stood there the last time they went.

I stayed at MGM, which was pretty cheap the week I went. Its HUGE, has great pools, is in a good location, and definitely has a lot of action. Really though, there are so many of them that are good. I'd see where you can get the best deal among lots of the places mentioned...

I stayed at MGM as well (about three years ago). It is nice but wouldn't be my first choice to go back to.

I really liked the Mirage the best. My brother just went in August and he said the same thing (he stayed at Cesars).

I also liked Mandalay Bay...but it is off the beaten path a bid. Bellagio is beautiful but not my style - I picture it more for a 50+ crowd. We actually recommended that on to DH's parents and they loved it.

Love the Mandalay Bay....Great pool area and beach!! It also has a fun crowd.

I LOVE the Rio. It is off the strip, but it is a Mardis Gras theme. There was always action. Plus they have the Voodoo lounge which is a nightclub that is GREAT!!!
They are reasonably priced too.

LOVE VEGAS!!! Anywhere you stay will be great, but if you want to stay on the strip, reasonably priced, with tons of action, I would choose New York. They have a great dualing piano bar!

We stayed at MGM - great price, everything was fine, but TOO big! Mandalay is awesome too - I stayed there for work, however it's a little off the strip. You can take a tram to get from one place to the next though.

Rio, Palms, Hard Rock - all great, but off the strip.

Paris is on the strip, beautiful and very romantic, but I don't know if that is what you are going for.

I adore the Bellagio, it is a special place to DH and I - although we have never stayed there (yet!)

My absolute favorite hotel in Vegas is actually not on the Strip - it's the Hyatt Lake Las Vegas resort - where they filmed America's Sweethearts w/John Cusack and Julia Roberts. It is also where we got engaged - in a paddleboat right in the middle of the Lake.

We have been to Vegas twice -- Stayed at mandalay Bay and Paris -- Loved Mandalay bay !! Was so awesome -- great restauraunts-- and clubs-- cool beach /pool.....Young crowd --- Very nice rooms -- Paris was Ok -- we were not very Impressed..
