Post your funniest Holiday story

More stories! I know I know...Lol but they make me laugh.

Ok so post your favorite funny holiday story. it can be somethign that ahppened to you personally, to a friend, with your family, in a store while shpping, while working etc. Anything Holiday related-we ALL have em and this time I'm NOT going first because I kill threads lol with my long @ss posts. So lets get cracking. Where's Marie...we kNOW she has at least one.

Bah folks!
I have a few that are really funny. Most are customer service related from my days in retail lmao. A few quick ones that highlight people’s neurosises are…

1. While working in Waldenbooks beneath a HUGE @ss sign behind the register, and WALL to WALL bookcases, a woman looks at me, frowns, then turns to her male companion and says… “honey they don’t sell coats here.”.. OK!

2. A woman calls me and I say, “Hello Waldenbooks, how may I help you?”
Her: “Where can I buy a bathing suit?”
Me: “Um ma’am? We don’t carry bathing suits. We are a bookstore.”
Her: “I know that but it’s a mall. Where can I get a swimsuit?”
Me: “I am sorry ma’am but I really am not sure. It is December.”
Her: “Oh you’re no help.” SLAM of the phone in my ear.

I was exchanging Christmas & Birthday presents with a former friend. She opened my gifts and like what I had given her. I go to open her gift and she had given me a small china box with a note saying that your real present isn't done, I am still making it. I was excited, she was a talented artist and also knitted. So in my mind I thinkg she is either finishing a sweater that she knitted or she made a painting. Fast forward to a week later and my sister & I were driving her home. We get to her house and she asks me to come in for my gift. I am anxious to see what she made and she hands me this thing wrapped in tinfoil. I open it and it is a brick (a brick that she got from the junk yard) that she painted gold. My jaw hit the floor and without thinking I said 'You have got to be kidding' and she said no, that was my gift. I thanked her and lefft the house with my brick. I told some mutual friends and they all laughed.

oooh i have a FUNNY one! Last christmas my whole family is together, and my brother & sil being the video camera freaks that they are were going around documenting the holiday. Somehow we got talking about shoes and DH, me & my SIL were talking about what we like and don't like. While my SIL is videoing, we go on a 10-15minute rant about how we HATE crocs(i'm sure u all know them..the big rubber shoes with the holes in 'em)...we're stating how we don't care how comfortable they are('cause they are comfortable!), ..they are the ugliest damn things we've ever seen and no matter how trendy they get we'd NEVER buy a pair, etc. etc...we really did have a big 15 minute discussion about how we hate the damn things & can't understand how everybody is wearing them like they're hot. remember this is all on video
ANYWAYS, so about an hour goes by & it's time to do presents...my brother always gets everyone the same gift for everyone(just a variation for each person)...so we're all exchanging gifts and it comes time for his and he's like 'wait where's the camera?' ...so they get the video going and my SIL starts laughing...we're all like 'what's so funny??' we open our gifts and what is it???? CROCS!!!!!!! lol a different color for all of us! (he got us something to go with it but of course i can't even remember 'cause it was just too damn funny). We all bust out hysterical....it was just too crazy lol. Of course they laughed and although we felt terrible we couldn't help but laugh about it either...and the best part??? the entire thing was documented! us complaining, then opening them later..lol. Leave it to my bro & his video camera!
