posts from 'current' brides to be...

i'm totally not hating and NOT trying to start drama. i am gonna say this in the nicest way possible and in the funniest way possible....

do you laugh sometimes when you read posts from the other brides 'freaking' out about the smallest things?

like there are so many posts about such tiny details of a wedding that i remember myself freaking out about the same things and posting about it. but after the fact, the day was just so amazing that you couldn't care less about half the things you posted about.

i remember posting about how am i gonna go to the bathroom in my dress or like wearing my veil the whole time and asking ur opinions about it. now i see the same kind of posts and i just roll my eyes and laugh. sometimes i'll reply back and tell them not to fret but then sometimes i just let them have their fun. man, i miss being a bride to be.

so anyway...anyone else?? LOL.

hindsight is always 20/20!

yeah i know what you mean....i'm sure the 05 and 06ers were thinking the same thing when we were all so silly and posting the same things.....but its one of those things that you never fully understand until you've been THRU it--so its hard to see how its not a big deal until..well its not a big deal on the big day!!!

I feel the same way.

All of these little details mattered so much to me that I actually wrote a list of 'what ifs' for myself before the wedding.

Now, I can't remember most of the wedding. I definitely did not need all of the 'what ifs'
The day went by so so fast that you just have to let yourself enjoy it.

Now I hear my engaged friends going through the whole thing and try to tell them not to worry, but they just point out how I was when I was planning the wedding.

Hindsight is always 20/20. Thats all I can say. We all did it. otehr will do it. Just the way it is. You need to live it to appreciate it later.

I totally get what you mean. My best friend just got engaged & she'll start panicking about something & I've already found myself saying more than once 'Trust me, don't worry. You're not gonna care less that day!'

Isn't it kinda like when our parents told us something, now what they said makes sense.

I know what you mean. I was actually one of those brides that didn't really freak too much over detail to begin with, but I understand that there are girls that do. And I am sure I am completely underestimating how annoying I was to my co-workers as a Bride to Be...yes, as Melissa said, hindsight is 20/20...kinda cute actually. You really do tend to miss the big picture because when you are planning, you don't want to hear that everything will just fall into place and things will go wrong, and there is nothing you can do about it and it won't bother you. However, like any life changing event, you are enlightened once you are past it. Remember in high school thinking how easy it would be once you lived on your own, had a job and no homework, no curfew and no rules? Now, you realize it ain't as great as you thought!
