Its not hard but Im not fantastic at it. FM Yesi; MrsQin2007. She is fantastic with powerpoint; creates all of her album layouts in it. I know she just did a slideshow too of pics for her hubby.

Re: Powerpoint

Its actually WAY HARDER than it SHOULD BE, if you're on a PC.

One hint though, take a look at ONETRUEMEDIA.COM, its REALLY EASY, and you can download the finished product to your hard drive, so you can burn cds, or just send out a link to everyone.

Here's one I made last summer if you want to see the finished product:

I'm not on a mac now...(im at work) but I have a mac at home...

I want to create it in powerpoint b/c we want to show it to a roomful of people at my grandmother's 80th birthday party...

can this be done with one of those 'other' programs?

How do I project it from my mac (or pc) to a screen?

If I get one of those... do I have to have it created in powerpoint, or can I just play any DVD from my mac through the projector onto a screen?

Re: Powerpoint

The projector will play WHATEVER is happening on your computer, so it will work. (**Turn off your screensaver when you run it!!) Check with the venue, sometimes they have A.V. type equipment available. You also need to check the walls, if they're flat white you'll be fine, but if they're dark colored or textured you'll need a SCREEEn to project onto!!!

Re: Powerpoint

either or. if your laptop/computer can play DVDs, it'll work.

you can hook your computer up to the projector onto a screen from PPT but I'm not 100% positive if viewing from iDVD you can play in full screen (I THINK you can but I'd have to go home and double check)

YES, PhotoStory is SUBLIME. So easy and the results are professional looking. You can add any music starting on any picture, etc. I've used it to make a few slideshows in the past and it's super user friendly. Software is FREEEEEEEEEEEEEE - best part - and you don't need a connection to the internet to view the slideshows - it would just be saved on your computer like any other file.

Good luck!

Re: Powerpoint

also good is PhotoShow. Super easy. Free software on their site or you can buy the extended version ($40 or so) which includes a website for you to post your shows on.

Here's our page
