Here are some prayers for you and your dad

And don't let anyone tell you that it was your fault. That is just ridiculous. You did not cause this and I'm sure your father would not want you to feel that way.

I am just flabbergasted that members of your own family blamed YOU for your father's heart attack. How dare they !

It is important that you and any of your siblings to become proactive in your parents health care. When they become older, they need the help. You should know what medications they are on, the dosages, who their doctors are. Keep copies of their insurance cards with you. Have them fill out the HIPPA forms for the doctors so you have the authority to discuss their care with the docs. Fill out a health care proxy so that you can make medical decisions in the event of an emergency.

It is a lot to take in, but it is SO important to do this.
I took care of my mom when she was sick, my dad couldn't handle any of her illness. I do the same now for my dad, and also for my in-laws. My MIL appreciates it because she knows that I have a level head and a take charge attitude. My husband totally agrees.

Sorry to go on about this, but this is so important for every son and daughter to do.

And this certainly is NOT your fault, it's ridiculous for ANYONE to suggest that it is.

But please don't listen to the people that tell you it's your fault. Nothing you did nor did your wedding cause this. I can't believe people would actually say that to you.

I know it's hard but you and your family will get through it.

Update:
He is in recovery and doing well.
They will most likely send him home tomorrow.

That is just terrible that anyone would even think that your wedding caused this ... and even worse that they'd have the nerve to open their mouth and say anything like that to you!

I didn't see your post earlier, I haven't been online all day .... but I am glad to see from your update that things seem to have gone ok.
