Yesterday DH and I returned the keys to our restaurant to the landlord. The poor economy , insane expenses and landlord that scammed us from the beginning forced us into a hole we no longer wanted to dig. This was DH's life long dream and he is devastated. We invested all the money we had saved for the wedding into the place and then struggled to pay for our wedding after the wedding we took the gift money and tried to catch up on the bills but it was too late. So here we both are broke, unemployed and depressed as he!!. Please pray that things will turn around for us soon!!!

Oh my gosh, I am so so so sorry to hear this! DH and I were just talking about going back to the restaurant again! I'll pray that something good comes from this.

Oh Karen....I can totally understand & empathize w/ you. My dad's business is going through the same thing. He & my mom helped us with a lot of our wedding expenses, and business has just gotten worse & worse that he's had to lay off everyone but my brother & 2 other guys, is using his own personal savings to keep the business afloat right now & hasnt taken a paycheck since 3 weeks before our wedding. I still have no idea how my parents are surving... it royally $UCK$ out there! You & Dh are in my prayers...

Thank you all for your prayers this is so difficult for us. Those of you who had been there and saw us in action know how our hearts were 100% in the place and our goal was to make our customers feel as if they were at home. We came so close to succeeding but in the end all the money went to uncle Sam.
Our hearts are breaking for our staff that were so dedicated to us.

oh how awful. . I wish we could have done soemthing earlier - like have a huge LI fundraiser for your restaurant - like have a huge 09,10, 08 girls fundraiser were we eat appetizers but I'm sure it's just a drop in the bucket. .
so sorry for you and DH - not only the loss of money but to poor your heart so into it and just have it not be the right timing. .
but hopefully things will turn around for you and this dream will be realized in another way or down the line. .
