Elizabeth, MichelleW, Junebride... I know your husband's are firemen and I'm praying hard for their safety and for all the others of our group who are waiting to hear from loved ones. May God bring them home to your arms safely.

Praying hard for the firemen....
I just got an email from a very good friend, that 3 of his cousins (firemen)are missing. I am so saddened for him and his whole family. I pray for all the fireman and police officers who are all heroes in the eyes of the American people.

Praying hard for the firemen....
Thanks Karen. My husband is OK. He is worn to the bone after being there for 36 hours but he is OK. Unfortunately with all the other men missing, he knows of quite a few that are currently lost, and some he was close with. I feel powerless except to try to just be there for him, I think, like with most of us, the devastation is starting to sink in. He will be back there tomorrow, and they have alot of work ahead. I can`t even imagine what it must be like for them to be part of such a rescue operation. I also pray because I know there are so many many people suffering tonight and I know that this was man`s will and not God`s. We saw someone tonight whose friend is missing (a firefighter) and he is to be getting married next weekend. I didn`t even know what to say. I hope everyone`s loved ones are safe tonight.

Thank you for thinking of us. Like Elizabeth's husband, mine worked for about 46 hours and was emotionally and physically exhausted. So many people we personally know that were just at our wedding are missing..
My heart goes out to all who has a loved one who is missing

Michelle; Thank God for your good news too! While we've never met, I feel a closeness to so many on this board after sharing all our wedding planning and newlywed days. This has touched home in another way for me too. In 1988 I was in a 6 story building in mid-town that collapsed and one of my strongest memories from that day are of the fireman that was there to get me safely off the ledge I had managed to get to. They truly are New York's bravest and hold a special place in my heart.

Michelle-Thank God
Thank God, Steven is OK. This is a horrible, horrible thing that has happened and it`s frightening to be married to a firefighter especially now. I am here to help and listen if you need me. The stuff they will deal with is too horrible to talk about sometimes but know that they will over time. I suppose they will postpone the test for them, although I know that is hardly on their minds today. Please email me at my new email address [email protected] I had to close my other address just the other day and everything was lost, including your email. Lots of hugs to you.

Glad to here your guys are safe.
Well I don't have any family members in the building or working for the state, but I still feel the loss. However, I do have a friend, who's brother is missing a friend and half his comapny. Half his comapny moved out of the WTC over the weekend and started in a new location on Monday. But half the company was still located in the WTC. He is devestated. I am at a loss for words. God Bless eveyone!
