Pre-Natal Vitamins?

Ok not looking to get preggos just yet, but I hear that taking prenatal vitamins can help with growth of nails and hair as well as really help with keeping you stong and healthy..?

A friend recommended Natures Made Multi Prenatal.

Was wondering if anyone else was taking?

Re: Pre-Natal Vitamins?

i was considering taking pre-natal to help my hair grow for the wedding.... instead, i started taking Grape Seed Extract and saw WONDERFUL results in my hair!!

for nails, i just take a hair, skin and nail vitamin... not really sure if that helps them grow - but the grape seed extract will do WONDERS!!!

when my sister was preggo, the doctor didn't even put her on prenatals ... said they were not really necessary. and my niece came out perfect. so i have no idea if you need them at all!

I'm on Prima Care One (doc prescribed) but before that I was on Target brand prenatals and they worked just as well. Those were smaller and very easy to take. I actually like those better than these other horse pills he has me on

I take ones they sell at Target, my nails are def. a lot stronger than what they were, they use to always chip and split but not since i've been pregnant. My hair seems to be a lot thicker than what it was as well.

I have been taking the Target brand ones since January. Not activily TTC but they say it's good for you. In my opinion vitamins can't hurt! Especially with the unbalanced diet i tend to eat!

The only one I've found that doesn't make me sick to my stomach is the Woman's One a Day PreNatals.

pre natals are good for an everyday vitamin, but add Biotin. It's awesome for hair growth. You can get hair/skin/nail vitamins, but Biotin is the thing that works best and there isnt much in the the hair/skin/nail vitamins. (usually only 400 mcg)

I take 3-5 five mg pills a day (its water soluble so you body gets rid of what it doesnt need. I got bottle of 120 at Vitamin Shoppe for like $17.

Re: Pre-Natal Vitamins?

Before I got prego I was taking an organic vitamin formula from a health food store. It was 27$ for a months supply in a glass bottle. It was called Blue. It made me feel amazing, and I had wonderful results. It also had herbs in it that I cant take while being prego, so I had to stop taking them. As soon as I have my baby...I will be right back on them. I also took a vitamin b complex on top of that with extra folic acid. Since its important to start taking folic acid BEFORE you get prego just as much as while your prego.

Pre natals gave me stomach issues...Im taking two flinstones a day after trying 3 dif kinds of pre natals! They all made me sick!
