It seems a little expensive and I don't really understand it I love my dress but let's be honest, I'm never going to wear it again. For those of you who are preserving it, what are you planning on doing with it?

Re: Preserving your wedding dress
Right now mine is preserved and sitting in a closet. I have seven nieces and hopefully i'll have a daughter someday. Maybe one of them will want to wear it. I wish my mom had hers preserved or at least the veil, I would have loved to have had that.

Re: Preserving your wedding dress
I agree, they told my mom it was $175. I don't think that is too terrible, but it's still alot of money.
They wound up holding it for 3 weeks, just to tell us when we came to pick it up, that they couldn't clean it b/c the tag says 'do not dryclean'. So I told them just to put it in a box, or maybe spot clean it as much as they could. I just want it packaged nicely, so I can put it somewhere. It's not that dirty, maybe just on the bottom where itw as dragging, but even then I don't think it was terrible.

That's odd.. if you cant dry clean, how are you supposed to clean it?
I paid $120 at my cleaners, in a display box, which is within 2 outer boxes... which I know because when I picked it up I thought the box was WAY too light, got nervous and opened up the box to make sure my whole dress was really in there... it was

Yeah, my mom said the same thing lol I guess I have to call the company that makes the dress and find out from them how the heck I am supposed to clean it!

Re: Preserving your wedding dress
I am having mine preserved. I wore my moms dress to my ceremony and it was really sentimental to me. The dress I bought for my reception, I am having preserved. Hopefull, I will have a daughter someday that will wear mine like I wore my mothers. I debating on having my moms dress preserved because I may want to make a christening gown out of it (when it's time). I'm not sure yet.
