Princess Cruise Lines ... We are going on one!

I am very excited. We booked a cruise to the Southern Caribbean on May 2.

Has anyone ever sailed Princess? We will be sailing, from Puerto Rico, on the Golden Princess.

Or has anyone ever visited these islands and can recommend some excursions: St. Lucia, Barbados, St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Antiqua?

Any help would be great ... Thanks!

we took the Tahitian Princess for our HM and loved it!!!!!!!!! you guys will have a great time!!!

i don't have any specific excursion info, but check out cruisecritic.com. they have message boards that are fabulous - you will get plenty of suggestions from there. i used that to plan our HM and every suggestion i got from there was awesome!

We sailed on the Grand Princess a few years ago and we loved it!! We had an amazing time...I'm jealous!! Have fun!!

I forgot to tell you about what to do, I have been to

St Lucia - see the pitons, a must, the inactive volcano, if you can go to the market, the waterfall, the garden, I am sure all this will be offered.

Barbados - the caves, the craft market

St Martin - if you get in there on a Wednesday, definitely go to the market, the beaches are great. Anywhere you eat in St Martin will be wonderful. Forgot to add, great jewelry and liquor shopping.

I loved all 3 islands

Its an awesome website full of cruise-addicts (kinda like us LIW addicts )
they give GREAT tips, and you should be able to find people that have just taken that same ship and same cruise, so the advice couldnt come from a better resource!

One of my close friends just honeymooned in PR on a cruise ship (not sure which line), but I can definitely ask her to recommend some excursions for you and Rob. One that she's already told me about is the para-sailing! She said it was PHENOMENAL - and she's even terrified of heights! Once she was up in the air, she said it was breath-taking!

We sailed Princess Dawn years back. We went with a few friends. It was a beautiful ship, but they never got my luggage to me before we sailed . I went three days with nothing, but what I had in my pocketbook. There were alot of others that had this problem too. Just make sure you hold on to your luggage

We went to St. Lucia for our honeymoon. It is such a beautiful island. You should check it out. Have a great trip!

I sailed on Princess cruises, Carnival and Royal Caribbean. Princess is a much cleaner, more elegant ship. Plus the food is best of the others I mentioned, I distinctely remember that.

You will have a great time!

ETS: Most of the time on these islands you will find a cab right outside the port to take you where you want to go. It is the inexpensive alternative to the pricey ship excursions.

In St. Thomas if you decide to take a cab...I would recommend Meghan's Beach. It's an absolutely beautiful beach (but small) frequented by tourists and locals.
