Proofs

Did anyone hate their proofs when they got them the 1st time they looked at them? I only looked at them once but i'm so upset and disappointed. there's over 500 pics though so i dont know if its normal to not like most of them. also if they used film, can they still crop pictures?

There were some that I wasn't happy about-mostly because it was a really sunny day and there was A LOT of squinting! Others definitely looked better when I had them croped!

were you pictures taken digitally or with regular film? i really hope they can crop these

you dont know how much better you just made me feel. im still not thrilled but i think a lot of them can be salvaged if cropped. Thank you!

Don't worry about not liking the proofs the first time around.

We spend our wedding days walking around on a cloud and we feel like princesses and everyone tells us how great we look and then we get the pictures and although we do look beautiful, we are somewhat disappointed at first because there has been so much hype that sometimes we expect that we are going to look like some other person.

Then we settle down and see how beautiful and real and genuine we really looked!!

Take some time and pour over the pics. Let yourself relive the day through the pics and you will love them!

Julie is right, the more you look at them the more that you might like them. Some of them that I was unsure about, I sat there with paper and covered them in different ways so that I could see what they looked like cropped.

One of our engagement pictures, I loved the way that we looked, but hated the bottom half of the picture, cropped it out and loved it!! It is now one of my favorite shots that I have of us!

I didn't hate mine, but so much can be improved in the darkroom that I wouldn't despair. Color, light, etc. And yes, everything can be cropped.

There were a lot that I wasn't happy about. I didn't feel that my photog really captured what my day was about- there weren't enough of the ceremony, or before that. There were plenty taken that were posed, but nothing that I can say I was EXTREMELY happy with. I am very disappointed.

Not to mention that most proofs look so far away but when you do them for your album they are cropped, blown up and brought in closer. At least that was the case with mine.

don't worry! this happened to me too. i couldn't look at my proofs for a while after i got them back. i think julie is right too. take a break from them. that is what i did, and i really love them now...with a few notable exceptions...but i guess you can't like every single picture!

Honestly, there were a lot of photos I did not like but when I went through them a couple of times, I found many that I did like.

Don't worry - you will find a lot of proofs you like. They can crop, lighten, darken, retouch - they will be beautiful.

I got married the same day as you, and I don't even have my proofs yet!
