I was wondering if any of you had your wedding proofs on DVD? If so how were you able to email them to people, etc? I have no idea what to do with this and it seems I can only view them on my home DVD player.
thanks!

Re: Proofs on DVD
I recieved a CD of all of my proofs on a disc and then downloaded and saved them to my computer, thats how i was able to share them with family and friends. I also recieved digital proofs of my wedding album layout on a CD as well, not DVD, and saved them on my computer.
If youre unable to save the images to your computer maybe you can just burn copies of the DVD to send to people. Sorry im not much help.

my images were on a dvd--when i put it in my computer i just have to Explore the drive that they are on and view the images in their folders and was able to email them by just copying them to my computer and then selecting the files and emailing.

Re: Proofs on DVD
thanks everyone....I can't seem to get it to work on my computers. The one that does allow me to view them freezes on me and there is no option to save them on any drive. My work computer just does nothing

This may be because you only have a CD drive. You have to have a DVD drive on the computer (some are DVD read, CD read/write, meaning it can read DVD's and read & copy CD's) or it might be a DVD read/write.
Do you have a friend that has a computer with a DVD drive? DVD's hold a LOT more info than CD's and if you got your pics as the RAW (high resolution) images, then that might explain why they put them on DVD's instead of CDs (my photog did the same).
At work, we all only have CD drives. So I wasn't able to see my pics here, but my laptop at home has a dvd drive so I saw them on there and downloaded them onto my computer.

Re: Proofs on DVD
i have the same issue - my work computer didn't have a dvd drive. I uploaded from home ALL 1200 of my proofs onto picasa and then created a web album and emailed them that way.

have you tried copying the picture files and then pasting the copies into a new folder on your desktop?

Re: Proofs on DVD
I received a DVD with all of my proofs. I printed them for people and sent them with the thank you cards. Also, I emailed them to people. They don't have any watermarks.

Maybe this will help you - - I always have trouble making copies and found the easiest is to right click on the folder on the cd/dvd which gives you a drop down list. look for COPY and click on it.
On your C drive open up your pictures folder if you have that ( Documents would work too) and right click in the folder. again a drop dowm list should appear and find paste. click on that and it should copy the entire folder of pics for you.
if your laptop freezes when you are viewing the pics it might be that you don't have enough memory for the size that the pics take up. My old pc did that - - I could view maybe 8 pics and then have to reboot. I bought a new one and I can view fine on that.
