Putting proofs in album
Ok friends. I have all the 5x5 proofs (STILL haven't looked at them) sitting at home in a box. I want to put them in an album so people don't get their finger prints all over them. I want a 5x5 album, not a big one.I saw a few online, but I'd rather go to the store, see it in person to decide if it's what I want. Any clues? Other ideas?
And all my BW proofs are 4x6, so I need to find something for them too, but I think I'll have to go with a regular album for those proofs. I don't think I'll find a 4x6 album.

Re: Putting proofs in album
I found really nice albums for my 4x6 proofs at Corner's on Jericho Turnpike in Syosset. They are acid free and pcv free, so they're archival and should keep my proofs safe for a good long time! I'm really glad put everything in albums, because so many people love looking at them that I'm sure they would have gotten messed up if I didn't put them in something to protect them.

Re: Putting proofs in album
Does Corner's have a lot of album's. I need to find a couple of really nice wedding albums in 5x7. We are making our own parent albums since we have 2 sets of wedding pictures. I am having a hard time finding something nice.

Re: Putting proofs in album
BermudaBride,Corners does have alot of albums. If you're doing your own parent albums, you might want to consider order from www.allbumhouse.com. They sell the Art Leather Albums that you usually can only buy through your photographer. I think that's what we're doing.

I am going to Michael's today to look for the 6x6 album....I never saw that one. My proofs are 5x6 so that would work for me.

Re: Putting proofs in album
I bought albums that hold 200 pictures up to 5x7 at Macys. My proofs were 5x5 & 4x6 so they worked great for me. They were really cheap at Macy's, like $9.99, but it was a few months ago.

Re: Putting proofs in album
I just got back from Michael's and nothing, unless you want those magnetic pages which destroy your photos. I saw a 6x6 mini-scrapbook BUT it holds 20 photos. I have 1800.

Re: Putting proofs in album
Michele,I went to 2 different Michael's today to find more of the 6x6. It is a scapbook, but it's got the pocket for the pictures. It holds 24 pics. I bought the refill sheets and made my books hold up to 50 pics each. Of course, I only need these for my color proofs, and I have 322 of those, so I only need 7 books or so. I need 4x6 book for my BW proofs, of which I have 232. (I counted last night, can you tell?)
1800 proofs? MY GOD!!! That must be a tough task to pick your album pics!
Good luck!

Re: Putting proofs in album
Is it a FULL size scrapbook or a mini-size?

Re: Putting proofs in album
It's smaller than regular scrapbooks. The pages are 6x6, with a side piece for the binding. Hang on, I have the label here with me. I went to the Michael's up by Smithhaven Mall and bought 3 more.Ok, It's called Perfect Fit Albums. The label is white with green writing. It says 'Perfect Fit for 6' x 6' mini scrapbook pages'. Made by MakingMemories. It's item #22914. The SKU is 04062 22914. I hope this helps!
