Q about appraisal

Do I need to be present when the bank does an appraisal on a property I'm buying?

We weren't there for ours--and I dont think I have ever heard of anyone being present for it

Our house is being appraised on Monday for our refinancing, and we don't need to be home.

We weren't there for ours and the house was unoccupied. Don't even know when it was! In fact I was told by the mortgage broker that unless they need more information, thiat particular bank just does a drive by.

Who do we ask for the appraisal from ? I dont think we ever saw ours--unless it is with the pile of papers from the closing but I dont think it is

Your apprisal was most probably ordered by your lender and should be in their files. It wouldn't be with your closing docs.

Contact the person you dealt with prior to your closing and ask them for a copy.
