Q#2 for short sales girls

Ok so we signed the contract this weekend. My question is how long until you heard back from the bank with their answer?

(we feel good about the bank approving since it is a short sale of less then 40K. the bank would most likely lose more then that foreclosing on the owners).

umm the first time we put an offer on a short sale we waited over 4 months i think - and we had to re-sign our offer contract a few times b/c it went over the amount of days we gave the bank to answer us.....then we decided we didnt want the house anymore so its actually great that they took so long to get back to us gave us time to realize it wasn't the house meant for us :)

we just put an offer on another short sale last week.....so as of now we are waiting 6 days from what ive heard and researched im going to guess that it will take about 3 months to hear back.....unless its a real strong offer - like a cash offer- it usually takes awhile - and there are a ton of things that can slow down the process (like reasons why it could take long)
