QOTD: Anyone having trouble getting past the 'my way is the right way' when problem solving with DH?

I can't think of one specific instance, but how do you deal with the different opinions you may have with how to deal with a problem, handle a homeowners situation, or anything for that matter?
Little things, where you think, 'well, my mom did it that way...' Just curious!

I think we agree on many things and when our opinions differ, we try to work things out the best we can. Sometimes I let him do what he wants, sometimes he lets me do what I want.

Same here ... we agree on a lot ... but when one of us has a problem, we'll talk about it. The one who feels the most guilty or wrong or has the worst case, is usually the one who gives in.

I might mention that I am the one who always thinks I am right!

Re: QOTD: Anyone having trouble getting past the 'my way is the right way' when problem solving with DH?

Doreen We all have our 'shortcomings' DH and I agree on things more often than not. But, on the rare occasion that we don't, we tend to BOTH think we are 'right' and lock horns b/c of it. Typically, it will depend upon what it is that we are disagreeing about - but one of us will give in, if the other really feels strongly about something.

Sometimes, though...its really funny if things backfire, and then one of us has to go apologize to the other for being so stubborn!

Oh brother! DH always thinks HE is right as he's so smart and I'm almost always wrong. I tell him that sometimes he's right but NOT always until something fails than he's wrong. He later admits to it though. I think men are egoistic that they always have to be right.
