so i've learned that alot of people I know have never tried SPAM and now I'm wondering how many people have tried it. if so...did you like it? do you still eat it?

I've never had it, neither has DH. My dad loves it though! Every time I am at his house in the morning he's having spam and eggs. My brothers and step brothers like it too.

To all the PR's on the board the drunk friend that made us the Spam was PR. Then after screaming how good it was he said 'Tastes just like Pernil' ..... freakishly it does though

no but oddly enough this weekend i am making it because I am dying to try it. I wanted to make a spam friend rice for dh because my parents came back from hawaii and LOVED IT.

my grandmother made it a time or two.... i dont ever remember it being all that terrible lol. also in college me & a friend used to chop it up & fry it up with some scrambled eggs.... DEFINETLY not good for u lol, but i really don't remember it being all that bad! in fact i remember really liking it!

as i read the topic of this thread the 1st thought i had was 'pssh--they don't KNOW about how boricuas do it'
to this day my mom STILL makes spam just about every sunday with her eggs. (once in awhile she uses bacon)...spam and eggs is whats up in my family's house growing up.
and she of course would FRY the eggs in OIL---making suer to use the spatula to get the hot oil flicking onto the yolk of the egg to just give it that white film. :lol;

haven't tried it but it can't be worst for you than hot dogs no? and for some reason i picture it tasting like hotdogs even though i've never had it. i heard somewhere they serve it at mcdonalds in hawaii..don't know how true that is tho never been there

Im puerto rican...enough said lol. Seriously ever since I was young, if my grandmother or mother were too lazy to make meat, theyd throw some spam on the stove. DH and I eat it now with eggs, home fries and toast.

Ummm.... how else are you supposed to cook an egg? Whatever I still make my eggs like that ,DH wants to gag when he sees me.
