QOTD: Have you ever won the lottery?

I mean...I imagine none of us ever hit a million bucks...but have you ever won like $500 even? I don't mean 50 bucks on scratch offs - I mean the actual NY lottery. I play once in a while...and it's funny...I am like SHOCKED when I don't win! Isn't that weird? Like I feel you should win SOMETHING once in a while...

My sister's next door neighbor won the lottery (in CT) TWICE. In three years. 16 million once and 3.5 the next. Quick Picks. Can you IMAGINE?!?!!?

My dad hit for 5G's about 9 years ago. Boy is that long gone.

I won $486 on take 5 once

No millions here though!

Jenny I play Lotto & take 5 everyday. I gave up on Mega Millions though, unless its a huge jackpot-Mega Million is near impossible. At least on Lotto & take 5, i get 3 or 4 numbers.

I never play the lotto, it is against my religion to gamble. My GF plays all the time, the most I have seen her win is $10 on scratch offs. Now Roger's mom is something at winning, wherever she travels and they have a lotto she plays and she always win. My Stepdad brother won the lotto in Florida for millions, and he won it by himself. I guess I will keep working and keep thanking God for my blessings, until someone wins it and share some of their winnings with me, like say Jen

My parents had 5 numbers once...but that was way back in the day when the jackpots were only $2 million so they only won like $800.

One time though when i was younger my boyfriend and I use to play lotto every week and Sunday mornings I use to go to his house for breakfast and check our numbers....Kind of a ritual.

I was checking the numbers and OMG I had all 6...I was freaking out and crying and I called his mother to tell her we were rich...She started crying...you get the drift....My boyfriend comes out of the bedroom and starts laughing...he's like did you check the date.....What the bastid did was go out that morning and play the winning numbers and put the new ticket in my old pile. I was sooooooo mad. But at least I felt like what it was to win for 10 minutes lol.

Nope, I wish. My MIL is a different story, I wish her luck would rub off on me. She wins on scratch offs all the time and so does my FIL (who by the way will pick them up after people throw them out near the garbage, not in them ) and has won A LOT. People don't know how to play all those scratch offs and sometimes throw them out when they are a winner! My MIL won $15,000 in AC though, LUCKY!!

My brother won $170 bucks once - nothing major though - FH plays sometimes - i only play when the jackpot is insanely high

my neighbors growing up won $3 million...then moved...lol


my dad played the same numbers since the start of NYS lotto...he had a subscription...where they put them in for him every game...and he never won...so he gave up on the subscription...


although every so often they would mail him a check for $20-100 bucks since he got 4 numbers or something

I won around $300 once.
I know a few people who hit for a nice amount so I know people do win. Unfortunately it wasn't anyone in my family or hubby's.

My little brother won 2500 on a scratch off...that was about ten years ago!

I don't even understand the lottery and the different options and all, but...

A women I used to work with (retired 3 years ago) was the $33 Million winner (more like $11 million after lump sum and taxes) a few weeks ago! You would of thought the whole office won. We were so excited for her!

I know someone who won the jackpot of 9 million but that was over 10 years ago.

Then someone else I know of won the lottery a few years ago. Not sure how much though.
