QOTD: JULY 24, 2003 since you got married............

have you found you gained weight ,even if its a small amount?? since I was yelled at to make my own thread yesterday

I have found I gained around ten lbs which is NOT a lot of weight and seems all my friends say the same

Yes I think I gained about 3 to 5 pounds since april. I hate it.

Since we have been married we both have gained weight...

And trust me...its not all the wonderful cooking I do

I was so worried about my dress before the wedding and with all the pre wedding stresses I dropped weight right before the wedding. Now I am struggling to drop the rest. My dh thinks he looks fabulous so hes not struggling with anything! LOL

im curious of what you all think the factors are? I think its mostly time
having a home to clean, cook, dogs, etc....
when I was single I was at the gym almost everyday! now its like I have to do this or clean this etc.....

I've probably gained around 10 lbs. But I also lost close to that before the wedding with all the stress, so I'm back to normal. I don't think the long cold winter helped my waist line either

I have gained between 5-10 since January I think- I don't know exactly because I don't have a scale! DH has gained about 20 pounds since we met 2 years ago :)

I don't know what it is- it's not because of being married- sometimes I am watching what I eat (like now) and sometimes I am not...

I am not an exerciser... . seems like there is NEVER a gym by me that is convenient (hours, etc).. so I do nothng :)

I don't think I have (I don't have a scale either). My weight is pretty constant - not due to any effort on my part.

I didn't lose weight before the wedding so I didn't have pounds to 'gain back'.

Well, I just got married, but if it counts for anything, I have gained an inch in my waist and some in my butt/thighs, but the overall weight stayed the same... I am attributing it to aging, b/c neither diet nor exercise have changed drastically.

Edited to add that I did try to lose for the wedding, but nothing happened, only some added inches!!!

i have only gained 6 total since the big day. Pretty good considering I am pregnant!

But I had lost around 15 pounds in the year and a half prior to the wedding, so I hadn't crash dieted or anything right before.

I have gained 10 pounds since the wedding...which is sad because I only got married 3 months ago!

My scale has stayed the same since the wedding.

I am curious - for those that gained - were you on crash diets before your wedding or really watching/exercising (more than usual) before the wedding? I know a lot of people diet like crazy for the wedding day and I would think if you did then it would be easier to gain it back when you go back to your normal routine, right? I know someone who does that just when being a BM - diets like crazy to look good in a dress and for pictures and then goes back to normal and gains it back - I personally don't understand her - because everyone knows what her normal self is - I wish she could just learn to be happy with that.

I went on the pill soon after and I gained 10lbs. I've since gone off it and lost 5...trying to lose the rest but not a big deal if I don't.
