QOTD - What do you have in common?

Got to thinking about this one over the weekend while toiling away in my garage preparing for the garage sale….

What DO we have in common? The one thing we DON’T have in common is our schedules! I am up so early every morning - weekends too - around 6:00 am and cannot wait to get the day started. I just love getting to Starbucks when it's opening, hitting the bakery for a sprinkle cookie (only since the baby of course, but may as well treat myself while I grow!), get the papers, etc. I just feel so great in the morning. I hate the snooze button and I especially hate lolling around in bed.

My husband can sleep till kingdom come. Truly. And through ANYTHING. He wouldn’t arise until 2:00 pm if I didn’t entice him with blueberry pancakes this Sunday. And then when he's done with breakfast he strolls right back to bed! On a beautiful day!!! Of course, this isn't all the time…but the man loves to sleep. And nap. Not me.

I think the thing we have most in common is our work ethic. We have worked together for so long and are incredible together on projects. We are both extremely fast movers and like to get things done immediately. We automatically establish an assembly line between the two of us no matter what we are doing!

Honestly almost everything.

We are best friends in every sense of the word. We do so much together. We are almost never apart.

The only thing I can say we have a difference in taste in, is some music, and his work ethics are much stronger than mine, otherwise, we are so alike its scary!

We have virtually nothing in common.

We are still great friends and each others biggest allies but if you were to list our likes/dislikes and compare our tastes - it would be shockingly different.

The only thing we both clearly like to do is travel.

stef we are very much the same. I think the work thing is what keeps us together! We don't like to do any of the same things!!!

The only thing we have in common is our love for each other.

I hate sports, but enjoy going to games because I love seeing him having such a good time, and he feels the same about musicals, plays and the ballet.

I learn a lot from him, and he from me, and we always comment on that.

We are so much alike in so many ways. I always call him my twin. We have the same interests,the same views, on so many things.
Our differences are that he likes football and I don't. He is extremely neat and I try to be around the house. He has an ear for music & I don't.

The things we have in common are our nature to giving back, he loves to volunteer with me.

We tend to like the same movies, some of the same music, especially when it comes to reggae music.

He is a procrastinator, I tend to do things once it needs to be done. He loves to think long and hard before making decisions, most times I make my mind up and that's it

We both love to travel and try new restaurants.

We both hate to drive, we both hate to pack.

What we have in common:
We love traveling, picnicing, and doing nature activites. We are both interested in the world of finance and investments so that gives us a lot to talk about on a daily basis.
We both Love to go to movies, and like to dance. (although he says I need lessons, LOL)

But I am more outgoing and social than he is, so I do all the party planning, etc. I also take care of all the bills, etc. . since I'm more organized.
He like sports and I like Broadway. But it all seems to work out perfectly

And we both LOVE each other

We are like night and day with most things. However, we enjoy a lot together. This makes our relationship work because we can do our individual thing, and then come together for the things we love.

We are both very close to our families, we both have a very strong work ethic and share the same goals. We are very social and love to throw parties.

We also share the same sense of humor and are always laughing.....

I'm more or less a housewife and stay at home mom and hes really into his medical carer.
I like country..He likes 70's classic rock
He loves sports, I hate them
I come on the computer to search for things, he rather read it from books
But still and all.. we love each other and our son and despite all the differences are quite a happy family ;-)

We have lots in common and lots not in common. It would take me too long to write it all out. In short, our things in common:

* Our love of each other (as eloquently stated by someone else as well);

* Our passion for good food (LOL, no wonder we keep gaining weight);

* Our families mean a lot to us;

* Our work ethic - we both work hard and put in many hours at our respective jobs.

Where we differ?

* I'm a neat freak and he's on the messy side;

* He's a night owl and I'm not;

* I cook and he doesn't.

Both like football, but not the same team
both like good wine and italian food

WE DO NOT HAVE CIGARS IN COMMON, why he has to have one every now and then is beyond me! YUCK

Hmmm, good question! We probably have more differences than things in common but we do like the same kind of music for the most part ( I think my taste is a bit more eclectic), a similar work ethic, similar taste in clothes and home stuff.
He likes TV much more than I do, I'm more of a reader. We both would like to travel (having a mortgage might put that off a bit!)
We also have similar political/social views.
I'm learning to like hockey.
Movies we're pretty opposite, he likes more of the manly movie whereas I like more indie/arty/foreign movies. I've gotten him to see a few and he admitted they were good.

We have the same values and sense of responisbility and family.
We want similar things in our present and future. We love each other very much.

Other then that we are very different....

I like going out more but he likes to travel more.

I enjoy crafts, reading novels, reality tv. He watches the news and does home improvements.

He like to get things done right away. I procrastinate.

He is neater then I am in terms of clutter and cleaning but I am more organized.

But I think we balance each other out pretty well

we are definitely different in a lot of ways...but can do our different things together...

we have two totally different tastes in books...but we can read together...

we have a rotating sat date...one week I pick the movie...the next week he picks...

we both love to travel...

we both love to argue...lol...more like debate...but he frustrates me, b/c he plays devil's advocate and won't take a side and stick with it...just so he can debate me...


but the more important thing is that we know each other so well....

I think we have more things that are not in common, but we have a couple of things in common:

* we both like cats
* both like to listen to music
* both love to watch the Yankees and are at a loss when it's not baseball season
* both enjoy drinking and learning about wine
* both enjoy reading
* both are lactose-intolerant

He loves computers and stereo equipment and I can't understand what's the big deal about them both. We both love to travel, but he likes to stay in nice hotels and I like to stay in youth hostels and backpack around any country. I like to get up early (before 8 am) and he likes to sleep until well past 10am.

--We love each other.
--We like some of the same music, but I tend to
like more of a variety than he does.
--We both love dogs, and are both allergic to
animals.
--We're both honest and trustworthy.
--We're both close to our families.
--We have the same values.
--We have the same sense of humor.
--We're both creative, me in a more artistic sense,
him more in terms of building things and
woodworking.
--We're both givers.


Opposite:

--I'm spiritual and he doesn't believe in God.
--I'm open minded, and he's got very strong and
inflexile views about things.
--I tend to like and trust most people, he is
suspicious of everyone (he's a cop, need I say
more?)
--I like ethnic foods, and he won't stray from steak
and potatoes.
--He procrastinates and I do everything yesterday!
--He has a horrible memory, and I remember
every tiny detail of everything!
--I'm a worry-wart, and he doesn't let anything
bother him.
--I feel like I'm wasting the day if I'm not out of
bed by 9. He can sleep the whole day away.

We have some things in common and some things we don't and some SHARED interests (which I think is good because he learns from me and I learn from him).

He LOVES any sports and I don't dislike them (I can tolerate most, love hockey and baseball, ehh on football).
We both LOVE Aruba.
We love doing People crosswords together.
We like different music but I like his and he likes most of mine (he even has gotten into country!)
Both like the computer, he LOVES PS2, I do not like it as much.
Both love kids (ones we pass while we are out together, and we adores our nieces and twin nephews)
He's more of a cat person and I am a dog person although we don't own either.

The list goes on and on but I can safely say there isn't anything he HATES that I do (well maybe logging on here so much ) and I can't say there is anyting I HATE he does. I think most relationships are about giving and taking!
