I need to get a dress for a wedding Saturday night. Can you give me suggestions as to where to go. I am trying to get it on my lunch break because I have school tonight. If I dont find anything I am heading to LI after work tommorrow.
I am looking for something affordable, we're in a recession
TIA

Re: Queens Girls-- HELP!!!
I always have luck at Annie Sez even though they don't have a HUGE selection of dresses.

Where in Queens?
I know this store is not the chicest BUT I got a really nice dress for CHEAP at Dress Barn (theres one in the Whitestone shopping center, fresh meadows) I am sure other places. Bay Terrace has Express (pricey but good sales) , NY&Co, Ann Taylor etc....
Depends on where in Queens you are though

Lizzie you know I drive to work. But I work in LIC so getting anywhere on the LIE or GCP is great. I was thinking of going to dress barn in Rego Park during lunch.

Re: Queens Girls-- HELP!!!
Austin St. has a bunch of dress places..just don't know how reasonable... I'd also take a ride to Queens Center..there's everything from whitehouse/blackmarket, macys, charlotte reusse, Social Apparel etc.. everything from highscale to lowscale.. then u can just shoot down woodhaven to union turnpike - make a left & there's a dressbarn in the stop & shop shopping center..
good luck!

since you're in LIC, there's always Steinway Street in Astoria.

Affordable I think JcPenny...I still shop in the juniors section (look at their prom dresses) some are evening gowns, or you can get a simple cocktail dress.
