Question

Re: Question

For my sister's shower, we did 'Find your better half.' As each guest arrived, we put a name tag on her back with the name of half of a famous couple (Lucy & Ricky, Fred & Wilman, Napoleon & Josephine, etc.). You could only ask yes or no questions to figure out who you were. Once you figured out who you were, you had to find your better half. The first 5 couples that found each other got a prize.

This was a great ice breaker. When people arrived who didn't know anyone else, it was a good way for them to initiate a conversation, so nobody was left feeling out of place.

Re: Question

Sorry if I'm not explaining it well.

Each guest got a name tag with the name of half of a famous couple. So one person would be Lucy Ricardo and there would be another guest who would be Ricky Ricardo.

The name tags were put on the guests backs, so the person who was Lucy wouldn't know she was Lucy. To figure out who you were, the guest would have to ask other people yes or no questions. For example, Am I a fictional character? Am I female? Am I a TV character?

Once a guest figured out who she was, the next step was to find her 'better half.' So, in this example, the person who was Lucy Ricardo would have to find Ricky Ricardo to win a prize.

Re: Question

We did this cute thing at my friend Lisa's shower. They interviewed her husband to be and asked him questions about himself. Then they took polaroids of him with his thumbs up/thumbs down. She had to answer each question and if she got it right then they pinned thumbs up on her, if she got it wrong thumbs down.

I have heard of this done with video too, where you have a video of the groom answering the questions.

Re: Question

We did the price is right at my shower and it was a hit. there was a basket of goodies like household items etc and guests had to guess the cost of the basket and whoever came closest w/o going over won the basket.
