did your photographer put a special lense on the camera to blur your shots?
How many of your shots were intentionally/unintentionally blurred?
I think this blurred business is ridiculous. Who the hell wants blurred pictures!?!?

Re: Question about blurred proofs
I hope we didn't use the same photographer! I'm only saying that because my photog works with your videographer a lot and I loved my pictures, but it would stink if you were that unhappy! Regardless, you made a STUNNING bride!
But to answer your question, about 5 shots (out of almost 1400) were blurred.
ETA: One of my fave pics of me is a blurred one & some of my fave pics are blurred...
But these were intentional and I'm so sorry that you're not happy with your pictures!

Re: Question about blurred proofs
We only had a few, and they were only blurred on the edges I think to try to give a romantic effect...

Re: Question about blurred proofs
none were blured - they said they could do that in post production if we wanted. But for me the lighting was not right. So I appear yellow in all of the color photos. He also took them at a strange angle that made my neck look like it had a growth coming out of it. I had a great neck imho. It is one of my favorite features. I LOATH the way it looks in the photos.

Re: Question about blurred proofs
one of my favorite shots of us is blurred - that is because it was pouring down rain and the photographer stood in the rain to take it - it has frozen raindrops in it - i think blurred can be cool -

Re: Question about blurred proofs
I specifically asked my photographer not to use that blurred lens b/c I dont like the look. So there were none.
However, the 3 photos posted above are not done with a blurry lens, they are a result of a different aperture setting that brings certain items in focus and blurs the rest. Every photographer does this to a certain extent (the examples above are clear examples but all portraits use this too so you have the subject in focus) to bring the viewers eyes attention to one thing or another. I would expect every photographer to have a use their aperture settings with a lot of photos.
Also, sometmies a photographer will want to capture the motion in a photo and that will result in certain things being blurry too. Again, no special lens are used..its just the speed of the shutter being used for an effect.

Re: Question about blurred proofs
One out of 700 was blurry--but it was one of us blowing out the unity candle so it actually looked very cool.
And PS: I can sense your frustration, but if it helps any you are one of the most stunning brides I have ever seen.

Re: Question about blurred proofs
We had a couple that were blurred for effect (cake table photos), but he also gave us standard, clear photos. We chose those--the blurred ones were interesting, but you're right, you can't see much.
Other than that, there was just one that appeared to have been blurred accidentally.

Re: Question about blurred proofs
Thanks ladies for your responses -- I'm meeting with them next week.
It would have been so nice if they would have taken them before w/o the blur and with the blur. I just have the blur effect... it angers me too b/c most of the blurred ones are outside OWG and would be so lovely clear, like DH & I walking away from the camera.
& THANK YOU LANABEAN for your wonderful complement
