Question about the Bombay Christmas Stocking....

So, I received my stocking in the mail and took it to show my mom. I mentioned to her how much I love it and I will just have to figure out what kind of stockings to get us next year since it says '1st Christmas.' She said 'What do you mean?' It just say your 1st Christmas is 2004. Her example was I have an ornament that I hang ever year that says Our first Christmas in 1997. What is your take on this? Would you use the stocking again next year? http://www.bombaycompany.com/gp/detail/B0002V1MRM/13458161/102-2183736-8850544

Its such a cute stockeing I think I would use it again!
Your moms logic makes sense, but I have another idea... what does the back of the stocking look like? Maybe you can hang it that way next year?

Re: Question about the Bombay Christmas Stocking....

Julz....The back of the stocking is plain red with no texture and it will not lay flush against the wall if I did that because there are bells on the front. The back looks like the back, if you know what I mean. GREAT IDEA though. I ran inside to check the back out. Thanks for thinking out for me. I just don't want it to seem odd to people if I hang it next year. To be honest with you, I would have not thought that way if me mom did not mention it. Any other opinions out there?

I'll use it again and again...but next year maybe I'll get personalized stockings and the 2004 one will just be decorative

Re: Question about the Bombay Christmas Stocking....

If you are crafty, maybe you can get new fabric to make a new cuff to go over the exisiting one..

I would just use it though. It will always be your first stocking.

Come to think of it, that would have been a more appropriate saying on it 'Our first Stocking'
