So I got a pair from dh for my birthday But I'm not sure how they are supposed to fit..I'm normally a size 8 in shoes,,and I got an 8 in uggs..but my foot seems to slide around alittle..should they be tighter? also do you wear socks with them? I know your not supposed to!!!!

I just had the same situation. You are not suppose to wear them with socks. Some people do. I exchanged mine for size 7. I wear them with socks they fall down a little bit but I think it is because I have narrow feet and they only come in wide. HTH

im a 7.5 normally and i have a pair of size 6 (in kids!) it was cheaper and actually the 6 is a little big on me so you could prob fit in a size 6 kids also if u want to save some money!

I buy sneakers in a 7.5 and my Uggs are a 7 AND I only wear them with socks.

I work for a shoe store (and we sell ALOT of Uggs) so...
classic Uggs run big and are meant to fit snug. They only come in full sizes and You should go a size down in them so if you are an 8 you should have gotten a 7. Even if the 7 starts off feeling a bit too snug...it will stretch and the sherpa lining will matt down giving you more room after just a few wears. You are NOT supposed to wear socks with them but be prepared for them to get smelly...but they still get smelly if you wear socks. I'm sure a shoemaker can clean the inside of them to freshen them up or you could just put a new sherpa footsole in it.
ETA: this applies more to the classic style Uggs rather than the other zip up, lace up and knitted styles
