I was just wondering about how long it took for your videographer to give you the first unedited version of your video. Mine told me originally 6 weeks, its now been almost 6 months. DH called yesterday and asked what was going on and they told him that they are backed up and we will have it on March 28. I feel like this is kind of a long time to wait for an unedited version. Im beginning to get a little worried. Anyway, I just wanted to see if this was normal waiting time. Thanks ladies!

Yes! The raw footage. They said that its not completely 'raw'. They fidddle with the sound and lighting a bit. But 6 months for a little sound retouching seems crazy to me. I am jsut starting to wondering if something is wrong with my video.

They are always vague about the date and if it isnt in your contract there isnt much you can do :(
Mine told me in the winter. I ended up getting it 8 mos after the wedding. It was a small price to pay for a GREAT VIDEO. It was worth the wait...I love it so much! Be patient, they will get it done!
ETA Oh I mean we got the editted and raw footage all at once.

Our finished video was done 10 days after the wedding! They called us on the day we came back from our HM to tell us it was ready. We couldn't believe it!

We got ours at the same time we got our edited version which was last week and we got married June 1!

Wow ok, so I guess the majority of us wait a pretty decent amount of time. Im just worried because every month they keep telling me 'next month'. Plus I am also the most impatient person I know, lol.

We got ours about 3 weeks ago both raw and edited versions. Its the proofs I had issues with. Face it most studios either get over worked or there are just too many people answering the same questions and giving different answers. I would call them and ask them if there is something wrong with the video.

I agree with you. I have asked them is there something I should be concerned with, any they keep saying no that they are just backed up. My real issue is being told over and over that I can expect it on such and such a date and then when that date comes they give me a new date. Its just aggrivating and DH is sick of hearing it so I am forced to vent to you girls

I'm a bad bride I am only dropping off the pics for the montage tomorrow!!! I agree with the girls here, I would call and ask them if something is wrong because you keep getting a different date.

Thanks for all the replies girls. I wrote an email to the company yesterday pretty much just outlining the conversations I have had with them and asking if there was anything I should know regarding the video and the wait. Hopefully I will get an answer soon. Thanks again!
